  1. so i went to the 2014 Designer Con a couple of weeks ago and SURPRISINGLY found a brand new SERIES 1 case at the Brick Nerd booth... $10.00 per bag... sadly (even though they said no one picked through the case) there were NO ZOMBIES so i walked across the way and found Citizen Brick who offer custom tampo'd bricks and minifigured parts that are AWESOME! different variations of zombie heads, torsos etc. also they have a lot of adult & mature themed minifigures lol like scarface, sex slave gimp, biker dude in leather chaps and bikini gals.... lol too hilarious... check out my vid for a review of their booth and some of the awesome items they have…

  2. hey everyone, i went to the 2014 Designer Con in pasadena a couple of weeks ago and checked out their annual LEGO display, FILLED with amazing creations from various Lego Master Builders (all for sale) and curated by brick nerd. check these awesome builds out! hope you like the video!

  3. Why the spoiler tag you ask? Well, let us just say like many of Citizen Bricks' other products, this too is rather 'adult' in material. Don't get weird though; it's still Lego for Pete's sake. Besides it's hilarious and check out those dollar bills! This should be right at home next to the Breaking Bad meth lab. I practically forgot the website link for purchase. Sorry about that.

  4. Hello! I want to introduce my build - The Mirror of Galadriel. The set is dedicated to the iconic scene from "The Lord of the Rings" where Lorien queen Galadriel shows hobbits their future, using the magic elven mirror. The set consists of approximately 100 pieces and includes 2 minifigures. I also posted my work on LEGO Ideas, so if anyone like it, he may support it. After acquiring 10000 supports, my work can be released as official LEGO set. The link on my project page: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/85110

You can either go to Shop Kits to order two die cut stickers with official Lego pieces as shown below or visit Shop Stickers to just have a pack of four die cut stickers without any pieces to use in any way you please.

  10. Hey guys, 34 years old here, and just got back into building Lego sets after a long time, thankfully my wife is cool with it, though she doesn't really like to participate unless it is a small build. Just wondering, what do other Afols do after they build their sets. Can't say I'm interested in playing with them, I think what I find the most attractive about this hobby is the zen like feeling you get when you're building, you just don't think of anything else and your mind feels at peace. Once I'm done, I love displaying the sets in my living room, especially the beautiful ones like the council of elrond and the unexpected gathering. Don't think I'll be displaying t…

  11. I searched and didn't see this one but if it already exists mods please merge. So I was breaking down my Tumbler, selling it as used, and I was just amazed at the level of complexity to this build. It gave me a new appreciation for some of the different techniques that are used when I was taking it apart So what were some of your most challenging builds and why? This may help others select their next set or help them avoid one. My top 3 easiest to hardest: 3. United Nations, after 40 years of not playing with Lego I saw this set at BN and those translucent blue tiles were just calling my name, little did I know what I was getting into. As a kid I just did f…

I was searching for the best websites with ideas for building lol (League of Legends) heroes using Legos. I've found coolgamers.club, which features building heroes from Lego minifigure parts. Do you know any other such sites, and which one is the best for you?

  15. So, worth a post here, board seems to be dead today Is there any current sets out there that are going to give me a nice brick/$$$ ratio for just building lego? the starter/builder boxes seem rather lame. I raided my old stash of Lego from my parents house and it has a bunch of 2x4 bricks, cloudy windows and not a lot of cool stuff like they have now. I sold off all the minifigs for 2x the black gate and am building the double black gate set up, but are there any other sets out there that just have a lot of bricks? Using the hobbit/LOTR as an example, other than Helms deep, and maybe the black gate, the sets seem to run high on the minifigs, and you almost nee…

  17. Hey gang, Been reading the website for about a year now, but this is my first post. Has anyone tried buying all the pieces for a Green Grocer Modular 10185 or other ModularBuilding through the missing pieces feature of the Lego LEGO Shop at Home website? A good friend of mine has used LEGO Shop at Home to buy all his pieces to build over 20 Custom Modular builidings, but he's never tried to to buy all the pieces for an entire production set. I looked today, and you can buy all but 12 of the pieces for the Green Grocer set from LEGO Shop at Home. I figure I'd use brick link to pick up the remaining few pieces. This set would be for my own personal collection, n…

Most of you will know R2D2 from Star Wars and of course the LEGO Set might be on your list when it comes to investments. (I guess if some investors did actually build the sets they own they could build a small droid army ^.^ ) Since it's an awesome LEGO model I guess that a lot of you own one for yourselves as well. Doing most important research on the internet I found some nice R2D2 MOCs/Versions that I'd like to share with you all because I think they are awesome and add some spice to the normal model. Hope you enjoy them.

I took my boys to the Richmond VA Lego Fest this last weekend. I was really impressed that Lego kept my boys excited about building 4.5 hours. Lots of builds and games to play with no lines. My wife and daughter were supposed to attend but had to attend a soccer tournament. Boys day out was awesome. Enjoy the video.

Ever since I saw the movies I loved Star Wars. Being one of the most impressive vehicles on screen of course the AT-AT was something I wished for when I was younger, stay playing with LEGOs not thinking about investing ;-) There have been quite some AT-ATs and they all have something going for them, though since it's my first one I prefer the newest edition. Anyhow, I always would have loved to see a HUUUGE UCS model of this one. But as you all might be aware of there is nothing like it available. So some of you might already know those MOC AT-AT, but if you have not seen them before you might love them just as much as I do. (if you didn't know: MOC =…

  22. I just posted a small MOC in the brutalist Architecture style along with detailed PDF instructions to build it at home. I'd love to hear some feedback about the model or the directions I've provided for download! Newish to lego, might finally have enough bulk lego to try and build something other than the random houses the kids try to make. Question is: are there some basic modulars that can be built without too many headaches? I looked up instructions to the bike shop/cafe and I am limping together a pink one, is there a good starter building that I can sub pieces with?

  25. I was starting to sort my latest bulk lot today and while looking for an empty box I knocked over a large and growing stack of random instruction books that I've accumulated over the last four months or so. It got me wondering what others who sort any significant amount of bulk do with these. Do you sell them? I can't see much of a market for most of these. Some I file away in case some other bulk lot has the set but no instructions, but most just wind up in an ever growing pile.
