I know this isn't exactly a local deal, but whatever, eh! Happy Canada Day! Any of you canucks got anything special planned? Personally, I'm celebrating the day with my family's signature maple syrup soaked bison recipe (jk ). I haven't noticed any Canada day sales on Lego yet.

TRU Canada has 20% off all Basic, Juniors, Hero Factory, and Castle. Nothing great, but one set that did catch my eye strictly for the minifig collector is Defend the Batcave. It`s an atrocious set, but the light blue Batman looks great.

Seeing as it has left par well behind and is headed for 85 cents US soon, I have to say this is a very good time to be selling into the US market. That's a 15% increase in profit after converting the buyer's US dollars into loonies with no additional work required. Almost makes up for the gap in retail store prices on the 2 sides of the border.

Hi there! I just wanted to point out that amazon.ca has LEGO 79010 : The Goblin King Battle at 77,97$, which amounts to a 40% discount. And depending on your location in Canada (which province), you could pay only the GST (5%). Free shipping! At the time of posting, only 6 left! There's also LEGO 79002 : Attack of the Wargs at 42$ (30% off). But there's only one left! Have a nice day!

Just starting a thread for it. Anyone else have any luck finding these sales? I'll check some places today on my way home from work. It sounds like it may be a store specific clearance though, but i hope i'm wrong!

I got this sent to me in my weekly flyers. They have a decent selection of LEGO near me (Windsor, ON) and since they haven't really had any amazing deals compared to other retailers (at least in Windsor) they have some stock left. I'm hoping to grab a couple more of these coupons in my friends' flyers, although you can also print it online, and have my wife also grab some LEGO. Last week they still had some close to EOL or 'sold out' on S&**** sets, so might be worth a look.

If you need some for personal collection or gifts sooner than later, Amazon.ca has these new sets at 20% off. Obviously I would wait for investment purposes. These little sets are very cool. Also Arctic Batman is $19.86 (not a bad CAN price if you still want/need it).

Currently 40% off or $77.97 Have not bought any yet but I could put up to 74 in my online cart. Nothing else on the site of significant discount unless you are desperate for some Turtles sets at 30-20% off

No Tax weekend again at RCSS (Real Canadian Super Store) for tomorrow (and I believe Sunday). Great if you want to pick up the smaller sets that RCSS offers. Saw a couple of Captain America cycles today for 11.97 clearance at the Oakville location. Good luck!

So the other special at TRU that has hardly been mentioned is the LEGO movie scratch tickets. You bring in your receipts/tickets from the LEGO Movie at any TRU and a scratch ticket. Apparently a limit of 100 scratch tickets per store. I took 3 movie tickets in for 3 scratch tickets and won..... 3 LEGO posters, lol. I'm unsure of what the possible prizes but I think 70809 Lord Business' Lair might be the top prize. Each scratch ticket is also a $10 off coupon at TRU good until March 15 so still worth trying to get these things. Just wondering if anybody won anything decent with these?

So did anybody try for that ridiculous trade in today? I heard the lineups were crazy and didn't bother... To those who don't know, a retailer in Canada (futureshop) was offering to trade ANY current generation console game for a free copy of Battlefield 4, AC4: Black Flag, or Call of Duty: Ghosts. Lineups were just insane for it since some people traded in games they found in a dumpster for this (and futureshop subsequently took it). Here are the pics from Financial Post: http://business.financialpost.com/2013/11/09/boxing-day-like-pandemonium-at-futureshop-and-bestbuy-locations-after-free-game-deal/?__lsa=0202-5723

Friday always seems to be an expensive day! Credit card regularly gets a workout before the weekend Haven't seen any clearance deals on Monsters in my local area yet so thought 20% off is good enough to order 6 Haunted Houses. Harder to find than VC and other smaller sets (excluding Zombies of course). Hope this set retires really soon...Sept/Oct should be a decent indicator on the investment potential.

The TOYS TOYS TOYS store at the TD Centre downtown is having their semi-annual 40% off lego sale right now. Bear in mind that their regular prices are typically 10-20% more than standard retail prices, but even so this is a decent sale and they have most current sets, and even some that I haven't seen in a while, like the red Ninjago Samurai Robot. As an example, after the discount the Rancor pit would be $60 plus tax, which is the best price I've seen yet for this set in Canada.

Just a little something I noticed on eBay. Toys R Us Canada no longer has a presence there. It wasn't that it had any great savings, however, it did offer free shipping even on a single item, unlike toyrsus.ca.

Mastermindtoys Canada's online site has a couple sets %20 off: http://www.mastermindtoys.com/Lego-1.aspx?_outline=Promo+Nodes--PNODEOUTLETWHSALE20OFF&lang=en-CA Mines of Moria $79.96 Crazy Scientist $51.96 Swamp Creature $7.96 Technic Pickup Truck $71.96 Sith Fury Class Interceptor $95.96 Bug Obliterator $79.96 Mastermind usually always has some sets on sale, but i figured i'd post the current sales as Mines and Crazy Scientist isn't bad if anyone found themselves without these during clearances and wants some.

I was at the Toronto Legoland to finally buy my personal SSD and they have 10 Orc Forges on their shelf in mint shape from what I saw. If I hadn't cleaned them out of that many 2 months ago I would have taken them. Happy hunting fellow Canucks.
