Pretty sure most of the Aussie members here would have already put in orders for this month's Crown Jewels of Lego LEGO Shop at Home - the Delorean and the 4x4 crawler, not sure how everyone's orders are tracking / processing / (dare I say) shipping etc, my experience so far has been....interesting. I'll start from the latest development. Just got an email today - "Your Lego order has been shipped!". Could it be? Could it really be that they've shipped 1 of my 2 orders, which are supposed to be on backorder? Heart pounding, hopes rising. Scrolling further down, I realized who was on his way - the brave little Galaxy Squad Orange Team member Jack Fireblade, and his t…

In case anyone missed it, Toy's Paradise have the 4x4 Crawler for $180 Shipped. It's no longer on their site but can still be purchased through the Westfield site. On their own website they have the Unimog for $200 Shipped I can't say I've looked properly into ordering from overseas just yet but this is certainly the cheapest I've seen these sets in Aussie.

Hi all, Just came back from ToyWorld (Adelaide City store), where they have a couple of battle packs (9488 Elite clone trooper & commando droid battle pack and 9489 Endor Rebel trooper imperial trooper) for $14.99 each (RRP is $22.99). The store person said they were put out just today with the sale running for a couple of weeks. I'll be buying a few sets, assuming I can convince my wife that this new/old hobby of mine will be at least partially self sustaining! Hope this is helpful! Cheers

Hello all, first time posting on this forum, just thought I'd share something interesting. Was just browsing through all the different online Lego shops, checking on the status of Delorean and excl ed. 4x4 crawler order availability in the different countries, went onto the NZ Lego site - crawler retail price is $299 NZD - OK, fair enough - then saw the Delorean going for $53.99 NZD, which is about 30% cheaper than $69.99 AUD on the Aus Lego shop, after conversion! Not sure if it's a pricing error, but If you've got family or contacts in NZ - maybe worth ordering through them at this price.

Hello fellow Aussie BP www.shopforme.com.au They have all 8 of the new star wars 2013 line available for pre-order online for $562.44. Full retail price from Lego.com.au is $750. This is a real saving. These sets are the closest ever to America pricing, which must have been set before falling Australian dollar. I already have this on pre order. Here is the info: LEGO The Star Wars 2013 Collection Pack Includes the following awesome sets: LEGO

Does anyone have any tips to share on the selling of larger sets? I am very over Australia Post and the ridiculous fees they charge. It just cost me $42 to post an Epic Dragon Battle as they refused to class it by weight. I am seriously over them, and just thinking more and more about using custom boxes and a courier company. Surely it cannot be any worse off? I can honestly get sets imported for cheaper than what this rip off crew charge.

Hello Australian brickpicker fans Just wondering if everyone is up to date on what the toy sales have to offer this year. Kmart - a joke with no real toy sale to speak of. Toy World - do not waste your time BigW - Not a bad selection with a few select items on sale below RRP (LOTR and Iron man) Target - A nice selection of some exclusive sets namely R2D2, police station and 20% off all lego Toys R Us - Good selection but most sets are retail prices of just below. Myer - Some fantastic sets and hard to find ones at that below RRP, ie Horizon Express, Sopwith Camel, Volkswagen T1 Camper van and Mini modular sets to name a few plus 20% off retail pri…

Hey Everyone in AUS Now that Bricks Down under is basically gone (since end of last year), I was just wondering if anyone else knows of any local forums to discuss local sales, bargains etc? As this is a global site I am not sure how many aussies visit this part of the forum, I only recently discovered it. Plus what do you use to sell used or MISB sets on? I use Ebay and gumtree, any others? Please let me know

Do you Aussies ever try selling any of your sets to the US or other countries on say US Ebay? Have you found any local deals on sets that would make doing so profitable? I found quite a few 9465 Zombies sets recently at a local discount that makes the current US price of $115 plus decently profitable. Have also tried selling a 10187 Beetle. I'm looking forward to the new Brick Classifieds getting up and running as I think it could open up the ease of entry into overseas markets a little.
