I ducked into my closest Smyths just to see what was available... I simply cannot believe how busy it was in there. Usually if I go in on a weekday, it's one man and his dog but it was so busy they ran out of baskets and trolleys!! I didn't pick up much - mainly storage heads and minifigure displays for Christmas but I did go for a Mystery Machine as it's nearly always sold out and so I am not convinced it will ever be discounted and I also picked up the only Double Decker Couch I found.

Mods, Can you please place this under the appropriate topic/tags as I think it's important that fellow members are made aware of retailers who don't give a crap about how they store and ship sets - thanks! Toys R Us As you can see from the picture below, my latest shipment of 4x Mystery Machines & 2x Giraffe were totally trashed. Even my previous orders weren't perfect but, I decided to accept them at the time. There is no way that a loyal customer like myself is going to accept this junk. When I called to complain, I was actually moved from person to person to person and the last numpty I spoke to insisted that I take it all back myself. I am re…

Hey guys just checked Smyths toys and their having a clearout on click and collect only so they might have some sets in your local store. Mainly on Movie sets and Chima, I just picked up 5 Phoenix Temple's £50 each, another 4 Benny's spaceship at £50 (they have been cheaper but still a descent price) and a set I never thought I'd buy but for £30 each I picked up 4 Movie dropships. So check the stock in your local store and worth a punt if there in stock. Oh and be quick it's not on Hotdeals yet!

I'm going to be running a workshop with some clients and I wanted to use Lego as a team building exercise. I want 3 sets which are quite challenging to build, interesting and cost approximately £50 each. I will be swapping bricks between the sets so the candidates have to negotiate between themselves. Does anyone have any suggestions on what sets would be good for this exercise?

  22. Not read much about Smyths (UK/EIR toy retailer) packaging when it comes to delivery. Anyone have any experience ordering larger sets though them? I know there's a thread on this but i think its mainly read by our NA brethren so thought i might get some opinions posting in the UK forum. As an FYI from what I've experienced: The good: John Lewis Amazon Tesco (click and collect) Asda (Click and collect) ToysR US The bad: Argos
