Friends

Discussion for collecting and investing with Friends themed sets.

  1. Started by kerrmando,

Hey guys, We've sold 25 Dolphin cruisers in the past four days. Our asking price was first 79.99 then 89.99. I'm posting this because if you have the opportunity to buy dolphin cruisers at a local store. (TRU, etc) then I would highly suggest you do (especially with the bogo right now at TRU). You'd be getting them somewhere around 50 bucks each at TRU. By this weekend I think it will be selling for over 100 dollars on eBay. Also Lego Reps I've talked to have said it's a "Released" item. A released item does not get restocked in stores. It may be restocked after Christmas, but indications are pointing that it also has a chance to not be. Either …

I recently bought 10 copies of Olivia's House for $49 each with it drying up from retail stores. This is my first major set from the Friends line up to flip. How has the Friends theme been treating you guys? Are you reselling as a set or mostly parting it out? Are we seeing any significant returns on retired sets yet? If so, which ones are they? Which ones are sleeper that we should keep an eye on? Thanks for sharing!

These Friends sets are continuing to impress me more and more. They just seem to keep getting better and better. Love this new cruise liner that's coming out later this year. Thank you Jason and Stephen over at The Brick Show for this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1GeJ6kUmyn4

Oh no, they have launched 2 sets to scupper any chance of appreciation for 41122 Adventure Camp Tree House! Plus, the girls all seem to have started dating and one even has a kid.

Several leaked images appeared today. A new house, a rockband stage, horse training/championship set, what looks like a smoothie shop with a strawberry on top, a 2-story art studio with what looks to be new water-reactive material for 'painting', a bunch of small ones I don't feel like describing. Also 5 or 6 sets that are of a similar build/theme that remind me of Poly Pocket where you build a heart-shaped box container and the lid can be taken off to form whatever the "scene" of the set is. When not in play the pieces can presumably be stored inside with the lid on. Looks like these types of sets come in a cardboard package that would hang on a peghook (thin on …

I see on LEGO LEGO Shop at Home that the first series of Friends foil packs (41017, 41018, & 41019) are already tagged as retiring soon. From what I remember they were released in December, barely two months ago. Are they not doing well in sales? Or are they just preparing for series 2? Does anyone know? Also, aside from the negative response to the Friends theme popularity amungst investors, does anyone think these will be good to invest in?

Well it looks like Friends is getting its own >DK Visual Dictionary. I'm hoping it's not just a repeat of what's in the DK Ultimate Sticker Book. How do the minifigs from these DK books usually do? Do people collect them?

First time I've seen these...those Lego Mini Figure cases in Friends colors: Blue, Pink, Purple (They also have them in CHIMA yellow, teal, and dark blue)

Looks like DK Publishing has more Friends stuff coming out this year, following their Character Encyclopedia from last year. Spotted these available for pre-order on BN.com and Amz: Ultimate Factivity Collection: LEGO Friends (DK Publishing). Avail 6/2/15. A fact-packed activity book filled with LEGO

Does anyone know if the Lego Friends Magazine (the one published in the UK by Immediate Media and mentioned here by Brick Fanatics) is available in the US? Or how to subscribe to the magazine? I can't seem to find it anywhere online.

Did anyone know there was a friends series on the Disney Channel??? I sure didn't until 5 minutes ago when I was guide surfing and came across it. This theme is/has been going places!!!

  17. Started by wholovesboo,

Well I totally missed this announcement, but it looks like there's a Lego Friends video game coming out. http://www.gamershell.com/companies/warner_bros_interactive_entertainment/1142373.html http://videogames.lego.com/en-us/lego-friends/about/features/

  18. Going into 2014 I'm thinking that there is a pretty good chance that the Lego Friends theme looses traction due to competition by its own new princess theme-the question is, how much. Might be worthwhile thinking about whether it's worth stocking away friends sets as they retire (or not). I predict princesses will be huge though.
