Friends

Discussion for collecting and investing with Friends themed sets.

Hi everyone, I'm just wondering if it would be smart to pick up some of the new line of Lego bricks for girls, the 'Friends' theme? With all the hub-bub about it being sexist, maybe there is a chance that Lego drops the line and the sets become more valuable? Thoughts?

Seems like every other retired set from this theme has had great gains, this one sitting at $13 with prime shipping on Amazon. Any idea why this set is so much less popular? All the other ones that retired around the same time are all over $20, a couple over $30. I am kind of stumped.

Okay, this is just awesome. I love the hot dog stand. It includes the new hot dog bun. The Hot Dog Guy suit is being reused and I love the "take a picture" stand.

  6. Going into 2014 I'm thinking that there is a pretty good chance that the Lego Friends theme looses traction due to competition by its own new princess theme-the question is, how much. Might be worthwhile thinking about whether it's worth stocking away friends sets as they retire (or not). I predict princesses will be huge though.

Oh no, they have launched 2 sets to scupper any chance of appreciation for 41122 Adventure Camp Tree House! Plus, the girls all seem to have started dating and one even has a kid.

Huh, so another Popstar themed set for Friends revealed. ....You know what that means.

Noticed that this set hasn't been talked about much. Seems like one of the better friends sets that retired end of 2019. Minimum BIN price on ebay UK is £125 (RRP £60). Probably.has had a corona bump, but still performing pretty well for a recently retired set.

  11. friends modularish subtheme continues to grow big. this set really gets my attention. so much going on here culminating with stephanie is the new mayor of heartlake city. heartlake city community center 41748 is an amazon exclusive. at least no one else has it in stock so i'm guessing that is the case.

Has anybody more pictures of the upcoming 41109 Friends Airport? I´ve just seen one on brickset.com.

I recently bought 10 copies of Olivia's House for $49 each with it drying up from retail stores. This is my first major set from the Friends line up to flip. How has the Friends theme been treating you guys? Are you reselling as a set or mostly parting it out? Are we seeing any significant returns on retired sets yet? If so, which ones are they? Which ones are sleeper that we should keep an eye on? Thanks for sharing!

Several leaked images appeared today. A new house, a rockband stage, horse training/championship set, what looks like a smoothie shop with a strawberry on top, a 2-story art studio with what looks to be new water-reactive material for 'painting', a bunch of small ones I don't feel like describing. Also 5 or 6 sets that are of a similar build/theme that remind me of Poly Pocket where you build a heart-shaped box container and the lid can be taken off to form whatever the "scene" of the set is. When not in play the pieces can presumably be stored inside with the lid on. Looks like these types of sets come in a cardboard package that would hang on a peghook (thin on …

I see on LEGO LEGO Shop at Home that the first series of Friends foil packs (41017, 41018, & 41019) are already tagged as retiring soon. From what I remember they were released in December, barely two months ago. Are they not doing well in sales? Or are they just preparing for series 2? Does anyone know? Also, aside from the negative response to the Friends theme popularity amungst investors, does anyone think these will be good to invest in?

  20. Started by Bold-Arrow,

Anyone knows if this set is going to be available again? Both Lego and Walmart (exclusive set) are sold out and S@H has it marked as retiring soon. I have been selling those like crazy (30-35$ range, bought @ 14.59), but now I'm thinking of holding on to the ones I've got left.. Any thoughts?

Figured I would beat someone else to the punch in starting a topic for this 2015 set just cause aside from not really starting any Friends set specific topics other than polybags. ....What was my point? Oh yeah. It includes 706 parts a handful of which are light lavender I think, retails at $69.99, looks great on its own, and should complement Olivia's House rather well. I like it!
