We have just launched our first Kickstarter project! We are raising money to make a DVD with builder interviews and creations from Brickworld Chicago. Some of the rewards include custom builds from Tyler Clites and an episode of Beyond the Brick recorded with a builder of your choice. You can check out the project here: http://goo.gl/3jsoM I thought I would share this with the Brickpicker community just to make you all aware of it. Thanks, Joshua

I do not want to spend any money on Lego storage boxes, but my collection is getting pretty big now that my kids are amassing quite a few bricks, too. I have been building some robots with Arduinos, and started saving the lids from Jiffy peanut butter jars for wheels. When reading the Lifehacker website about getting the labels off of the peanut butter jars so that I could use the jars, too, I found that peanut butter was the solution (pun intended) to use to get that icky glue off the jar under the label. Last week I started organizing all my lego figures, and I needed a storage solutions for them. A big drawer was too big to just throw them in, so I put them …

http://brickfanatics.co.uk/fire-at-legoland-malaysia/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+brickfanatics+(Brick+Fanatics) The official statement seems to be "a minor fire". While I agree that in proportion to the whole park that might be true, I still wouldn't it consider 'minor' after seeing the picture.

Hi guys, I see a few bricktonians on here doing their best to help the community, so I figured I'd give it a shot as well. When I was a trader for the game Team Fortress 2, I made quite a pretty penny making avatars and screenshots to help advertise their hats people needed to sell. So I'm quite experienced with GIMP. Yeah, I use GIMP. It's free. However, I will upon request create any avatars for anyone on here for free. Just send me a PM or post here saying what how/what you want done, and I'll do my best to meet up to your expectations. All sizes will be 128x128 or shorter, so you can immediately make it your avatar for Brick picker. I do accept tips via peer to …

I just got a samsung smart tv for my room. I think I have everything setup correctly but I am not getting any channels to work. I have comcast and one of those digital receivers they sell you to get their signal. This particular tv is not connected to the main big cable box. Here is my setup: I have the coaxial cable from the wall plugged into the digital adapter then I have another cord from the digital adapter to the tv coaxial input. When I scan the channels I only get one. Using the remote to change channels, I just get static. The channel that works is set to channel 3 but it isn't really channel three. Do I have to setup the remote a special w…

I'm sure some of you have already walked down this path so looking for some advice/life experience here. What started as a simple Lego buy/sell hobby for me is slowly transforming into an online business (e.***. my online selling is slowly becoming less and less Lego and more into other toys, electronics, whatever I can find for cheap and resell online). As a result I'm sure the taxman might like to review my records after a couple of years "if" I do have a successful venture (I didn't expect to be able to break 2-3K in sales so fast on eBay in just a couple of months tbh so if I keep at a torrent pace of buying/selling I'm sure it will reach >10K in no time). So my b…

Folks.....I made a boo boo I think. When I bought my I phone a year ago...I remember someone telling me all pics and videos were saved "on the cloud" even after my phone went over the thousand it could hold---they were sent to a picture roll. Fast forward a year...and I went to look for last years Christmas pictures--and poof! <been using that a lot since someone posted the South Park video. Gone. Is it true that once you past 30 days or 1k pictures, they are deleted--gone forever? It sounded too good to be true---that all pics ever take were stored for you in your film roll cloud what have you...but I never looked into it. Well this sucks. Am I missing s…

I'm kidding of course but a train model 140C will stay a couple of hours in my train-station to have some technical testing. (not this one but nearly the same model) I'm curious to see this thing for real. I'll take some pictures if it's nice looking.

My HP C310 photosmart printer has suspiciously stopped working. I honestly believe the latest firmware push/update just bricked this thing. Needless to say I am in the market for a new printer. This printer will be used primarily to print shipping labels and the occasional pictures on photo papers. Any suggestions on what to get ?

Hello all, I wanted to say high to everyone. Most people probably don't know me as I was one of the newer(ish) members to join about 2 plus years ago. Anyways, I still buy and sell Lego even though my current avenue of work has been WWII mocs for World War Brick which was held in Minneapolis. (Went to that one for my third straight year.) They also hosted WWB out of state in Anaheim, CA and Hartford, CT in 2015 as well. If want to check out some of my builds, please check out my Flickr account which is vikings_football28. (Link.) On a side note, we are doing a Lego Cologne On The Rhine Collab next year for WWB 2016. This collab depicts the famous Pershing vs. Panth…
