I recently bought a huge lot of the first rounds of the HP LEGO line, and found really cool how well they fit together to make the complete Hogwarts Castle with almost every single room, as well as some of the other locations. The newer 4842 is definitely the best looking HP castle, but to be honest had I been into this back when the original sets were released I would have probably preferred those to the new ones. Is this an exclusive to LEGO Shop at Home? I cannot find it listed on Amazon, Walmart, Target, Meijer or B&N. Any other retailers carrying this set?

Has anyone been lucky enough to find the Burrow in stores lately?

A friend is going to sell these set: New: 4712 Troll on the Loose 4720 Knockturn Alley 4729 Dumbledore's Office 4731 Dobby's Release 4735 Slytherin Used: 4754 Hagrid's Hut (good condition, complete with box and instructions) is there anyone interesting?

I have 5 of these at the moment. Wondering if it may be time to unload them since the price has been up and down over the last few months. What do you guys think?

So it was bound to happen eventually, I finally bought a set that was not Star Wars themed. It was 4876 Hogwarts Castle. I got it for 30 bucks MISB. Can anyone who has it tell me their thoughts on this set, or even if you dont have it. I wanted to start small outside the Star Wars theme and this was a good choice I thought.

Unfortunately, I got back into collecting Lego not long before Harry Potter sets started coming off the shelves. I'm wondering about how much it'll cost me to pick up some of the sets in the next few months. In the area I live, it's almost impossible to find them anywhere, so no chance of clearance sales. I mostly want to know about the prices for The Burrow, Hagrid's Hut, and the Hogwarts Express (the latest version). Do you think they'll be a lot more expensive on the aftermarket? Or relatively similar to their original prices? If any of you can predict what the prices will do, that'd be great!

Do you recommend that I sell all of the sets together or separately? I am going off to college and my mom wants to get rid of them, but thankfully I stopped her before she gave all of my sets away. With that said, I would like to get rid of them for the most money because well college is expensive. So, what do you recommend should I sell sets together like the lego sets sold from 2001 together? Or should I sell them all in separate sets?

I just visited a small local store here, and i noticed that they have 3 4866 all damaged by a tie wrap thats wrapped around tge box. I could resist myself to buy them because of these damages, but still thinking about buying them for this price, so please some advice on it, should i buy them or leave them because of the damage?

I have recently been snatching up some minifigures from retired sets from brick link. I ordered a bunch of voldemort heads for the figure that is in 4842 and 4865 and a little more than half of the heads have the new recessed stud while the others have the original open stud with the 3 spokes that I was expecting. Bricklink has a separate listing for the voldemort head with the recessed stud but does not identify any sets that contain this particular variation. Does anyone know what set this comes from? My hope is that maybe the new head was introduced in the middle of the production run for 4842, 4865 or both and that either version could potent…

i'm looking for some opinions on the Harry Potter theme. I hear it is being discontinued. Is it a good time to buy or should I buy something else, like Star Wars?

Weird question, but how should I price a HP lot that's full of both half-completed and mostly completed sets? I found all of this in a random lot and I have no real intention of ever trying to collect the HP series so I'm trying to figure out how I should move this.. it's been on a shelf in my office for awhile now. I know in a best scenario world, I should buy the pieces I need and sell them as individual sets but I'm strapped for time. Plus I have another pound or two of random sand green/tan pieces that belong to the HP universe so this lot is kind of all over the place.

I stumbled upon a bunch of small HP sets and pollybags today. Specifically, I found 3 x Freeing Doby (4736) @ $5 each 5 x Forbidden Forest (4865) @ $9 each 17 x Mini Hogwarts Express PB (40028) @ $3.99 each 20 x The Lab PB (30111) @ $3.99 each Worth the investment? I'm pretty new to this and thus far have mainly invested in big sets. I appreciate any advice anyone can offer. Thanx

I know the dragon can be quite expensive and it looks complete but others like the troll is missing it's head (he's looking for it) and the dementor has the wrong head and no showl. etc. Anyways, these are for personal collection not necessarily for resale until we've had our play with them so that makes it a little more worthwhile (I might just put the dragon away and not let the kids touch it at all).

I not even gonna bother saying how absolutely amazing it is, the art speaks for itself quite clearly.

I have a few of the Harry Potter Knight Bus (4866) and there is a difference between the boxes. One has extra information printed on the front (number of bricks etc). I purchased this one from overseas. Does it make a difference to the value? Are the ones without the extra information worth more. I am planning on selling them but would like to know which ones I should keep for longest. Many thanks, Tylerfox.
