Aside from the current buy 2 get 1free promotion they are currently running Which includes most SW sets for once), their prices are garbage! My question is this though, why are only some sets higher than MSRP? It seems they pick and choose which sets to mark up.

Am I the only one who has no idea what a tru receipt means? I don't know if I did well, or took it in the hoop every time I set foot in the place lately. They had series 11 2 for 5. And bogo skylanders at 40% off...and the plush for 5 after spending fitty. I have no idea what I paid for anything. I am assuming I missed out on the mini fig sale...or heard the guy wrong...didn't see a sign...but kid happened by and mentioned they were 2 for 5 so grabbed a couple.

Hello all, I just wanted to get a general feeling on how many Brickpickers are supportive of TRU. I believe many of us don't like shopping for sets there, but some of you do. I'm on the fence about it because I've bought only once from them and it was almost a complete disaster. (The box was beat up so badly during shipping that it caused holes in the Lego box.)They refunded my money and let me keep the set. I've never bought from them again because I almost always found better deals on Amazon and I've also heard more about TRU's bad practices. (Shipping, eBay, etc.) Let me know what you guys think in the poll/comments.Thanks.

Many here have commented about their bad experiences ordering online from TRU, and I should have listened. But no, I had to give TRU the benefit of doubt and do an online order of some Lego sets they had on sale. Just to be clear, this is TRU in Australia. Ordered, paid for items and postage, received confirmation email, all good. A day later, received another email that items had been dispatched. Waited 4 working days, nothing. Called TRU customer service on a Friday, was told by CS lady that courier tried unsuccessfully to deliver, and items at courier depot, gave me details to ring them to arrange delivery. I was just wondering if anyone might know when the next TRU bogo sale might be. I know they run these quite frequently, but I can't remember when the last one was. I would like to stock up on dolphin cruisers and heartlake highs to flip this xmas. I think both will be hot sellers and one of those items that retailers won't be able to keep in stock this holiday season. the current retail on both at TRU is only $5 above "normal" retail everywhere else, so assuming they don't jack the prices up by 20-$30, these could be obtained at a good price for holiday flipping.

I purchased a BOGO 50% this weekend online Farnsworth House was $60 and the Seaside House was $50 promo marked down to $25 Total $85 that I used $50 in coinstar money towards and $35 on Paypal. Newb here and looked but did not see this but when I purchase BOGO in the store the discount is split between the two items. It was not online the discount was all on the SH. So I figured I would see what I would get on a return of the FH tonight. I got the full $60 on a gift card. I even asked the associate and she said it was because I used paypal? Are they worth spending 60$ at Toys r Us to get? Im new to collecting, and just wondering if these will have any collector value in the future. I picked up vol 1 last week, but they had a sale buy one set get 1 40% off. So I picked up 2 Duo Funhouses (6857), but this week with no sales I cant justify picking up vol 2. I think my money would better be spent on retired sets on ebay. Any veteran insight would be appreciated.

My store has 12 of them in stock, should I get them today with the $20 off coupon? They are marked up to $45 so I basically be paying retail for these, are they for sure an investment winner or not? I have no interest in them for my own part but folks on here seem to go nuts over this set.

TRU says that if you use their credit card you can get free shipping (no minimum purchase). I tried this and it looks like I am still getting charged for shipping. Has anyone had any luck with this?

Before my TRU ban and the need to create a new account, I could not log in and review my past orders. It got progressively worse the longer I had the account. I attributed it to old servers running in a 1970's era IT facility somewhere in a back corner of TRU HQ. After many minutes following my login credentials, the server would error out. After my new account was created, my order review is much quicker and I can actually look at my past orders from the new account.
