They weren't on the updated late list I saw. Also noticed the tags came off those 3. Can't see them retiring a set that sold many.

I hate that I can't tell if you're serious about the unretirement stuff. But I also hate that it doesn't matter since Amazon just buys 200k of a set at EOL so there's enough aftermarket supply for a few years/decades anyway.

385 delivery trucks at 5.99 from one store. Bought about 300 at 9.99 and another 100 when 13.99 and 15.99. Few more and can build life size truck. Just in time for the retiring tag to come off along with sleigh and tree.

Is that really supposed to be a Corvette that's included? I always thought it looked like a Camaro or something. I have the set and like it as a display piece. I would like a list of cars that fit on it scale-wise. I don't want all the super cars out there, but more common cars like Corvettes and the like.

So here is a bit of a horror story for you. Before starting the D&D Castle set I finally had to finish the 42098 Car Transporter. This was an open box return with several open bags and loose pieces inside. The instructions and sticker sheet were mint so I thought let’s give it a try, this was back in September 2024. Right off the start I was missing a gear for the corvette and had to place a BL order. I was able to finish the car but then was missing a few small elements for the truck and decided to sort the entire set and inventory it, brutal. Two more BL orders and I was ready to go! This is old school technic, no app, just look at the elements in the call out box and the picture in the instructions and figure out where things go. I hated working on this set and made a lot of mistakes twice having to do some major rebuild. I would probably say it is my least favorite build ever, even worse than sets that have tons of repetitive steps, just no joy in this set. What got me through it was that once done I would be left with an amazing functional play set that also nicely displays my technic cars. I am glad to get my build area back and this thing will be going up for trade/sale soon if someone wants it. I’m looking for NISB Italian Riviera or Natural History Museum.

I went the React Native route. I looked into the benefits of each and because of how this type of site works, it just made more sense and will allow me to get updates out easier. Just a note on the forum. I upgraded it to it's latest version 5.x but with that, some of the old 4.x features that I had built no longer work. I have reached out to the devs and just waiting to see when they may have time to update their apps. The focus is getting the site out over the next few weeks, along with the mobile apps, then I give the forum a bit more attention. I am using the forum as SSO (Single Sign On) and wanted to make sure I didn't release the site, then upgrade the forum and then everything blows up.

Did you write that using Swift? Flutter? Just curious...can't wait to see the end product.

Happy to see you are excited about it. I really am as well. Been having a lot of fun putting this together. Right now I am focused on getting a mobile version ready to release with the site since there will be some major features that are mobile app reliant.

Starting off the new year of 2026, Epic Games Store has stopped the daily holiday freebies and resumed the weeklies. This week is a double feature with Total War: Three Kingdoms and Wildgate. They are free until January 8th. Next week's freebie will be Bloons Tower Defence 6 (second or third repeat of this offer, don't remember).

There will still be free aspects to site, but other areas will have a cost. Things have changed, ads and affiliate revenue are not great models in 2026 for a site like this. BrickPicker was original when it came out 15 years ago (hard to believe its been that long), this new update, with its data and unique features will set it apart again. If you are a casual or serious reseller, you will find value and it will pay for itself.

Sounds like a huge step! Just want to make sure this is still a free place to exchange information.
