This actually happens to more people than you’d think with the Stranger Things Upside Down set, so you’re definitely not alone. The model is under a bit of natural tension because of how the two houses mirror each other, and even a single plate or brick being half a stud off—especially in the foundation or central spine—can cause exactly what you’re describing: the roof not sitting flat and the back middle popping open. Most of the time it’s not a big mistake, just one slightly misaligned layer early on that gets amplified as the build goes up. A good tip is to carefully separate the two houses, check the base and the long interior support sections, and gently re-seat everything without forcing it. It’s annoying, but usually once that hidden misalignment is fixed, the stress disappears and the roof sits properly. I’ve rebuilt tricky LEGO sets like this before and it always feels risky, but taking it slow really helps. Also, for anyone in Chile building big display sets like this, I’ve found getting replacements or even the set itself through Ubuy Chile super helpful, especially when local stock is limited or parts are hard to source. Once it’s dialed in, though, this set is rock solid and absolutely worth the effort.

Today's holiday freebie is Viewfinder. A first-person puzzle game in the same vein as Superliminal but with the added layer of an instant camera. Hard to properly describe through text but well worth playing at least once.

That is just awful. Ugly and awful. Between garbage like this and the endless run of flower sets, LEGO is completely losing me as a customer.

Have you guys encountered these issues recently: 1) Amazon lost my inventory but won’t reimburse me for the cost of purchase, they calculate their own price which is wayyyy less then what I thought the sets for even on sale. 2) I use Amazon FBA and the customer never received the item, why do I get charged the refund?

Today's holiday freebie is We Were Here Together. A co-op puzzle game requiring a microphone and, well, someone to co-op with. It does support online cross-play.

Walmart shipping and doing same day delivery from store has killed the 12/26 inventory and markdowns. Costco, at least this year, didn't have nearly the inventory as in previous years. We were sold out days before Christmas on most items.

This was a very different year. Usually I can snag a few pallets between Sam's and Costco on 12/26, but it definitely looks like TLG took product back. One Sam's by me had me licking my chops for 2 weeks - They had the Medieval Horse Knight Castle and Hogwarts Main Tower for ~15% off for the past month and had 3 pallets on 12/23. Today they were all gone. Completely reset to lawn furniture and no toy section. Low low stock at Tar & WM. I literally came home with nothing. I checked 12/26 last year, and I spent $4700. Strange days.
