My boy is visiting this week! He'll be home in several hours. I haven't seen him since just after basic training, 2+ years ago.

At 24 he think he's the ****. I'm gonna drink the boy under the table tonight.
I love it!

1. Wait till he's nice and sauced.
2. Shout "At Ease!" in your best drill sergeant voice.
3. Chuckle as he jumps up to the proper military position, but topples over in the process.

My “I am hoarding all of these Lego sets for my future grandson” excuse finally came true!

  • Got busy and never updated but actually arrived at dealership the next day after posting that last assembly line photo.  Took possession 12/8/21 from a 7/13/20 reservation... Got about 400 miles

I'd go with Reveille, though none of this might work since it's been 2+ years.  If he's Army, that's enough time to become an NCO...

Having your own private theatre for Patriot's Day. Turn off my cell phone? Nah, I think I'll damn well browse Brickpicker to my hearts content!

Side benefit: Nobody can see you weeping uncontrollably.

I just can't do blown up kids, man. This movie is not cool at all in that regard.

So I built a UCS 10212 Shuttle last week and had to quickly stash it away from the meddling hands of kids.  I set on our bedroom dresser and left it there for the evening.  Later on, after the meddling kids were gone I assured the wife that the lego would not be in our bedroom. We have established rules in our home where displayed lego is acceptable and the bedroom is no such place.  Well, I was about to move it and she actually said it looked ok and to leave it where it was (for a bit).  Now I know that you all don't know... but trust me when I say WOW! Now talk about a CEO/credenza test.  This set is a winner!

Happy Friday all!!! GO PACK GO!!!

Thank you brickpicker for teaching me the ways to snipe deals. This morning Pariah Canyon backcountry permits for May went live and I F5'd my way to 5 spots out of 20.

I never heard of Dinty Moore. Did you buy them at Venture?

I love it when you find your last can of Dinty Moore Beef Stew and you get to eat it before it expires in June 2017.

Ya'll have a Montgomery Ward, Western Auto, or Hills?

My first 'real' job when I was 16 was at Montgomery Ward in St. Charles, Illinois.

LOL!  I grew up in Batavia and remember that store on Randall between 64 and 38, correct?  Right by the old St. Charles mall?

I love it when you realize they gave you 11 (sometimes even 12) nuggets in your 10 piece nugget. On a side note, I hate when you only get 9. I always count.
