I am pretty new in this and wanted to ask if there is maybe a thread collecting Skype addresses or similar. I'd like to get in touch closer with some Lego collectors / investors and discuss stuff real-time.

    Welcome to the site! To answer your question, no, I don`t believe there is such a thread at the moment, at least not one I`m aware of. If you would like to keep in touch with specific members, there is the option to PM them and get a conversation going that way.

    Hi and welcome to the site.  I personally would not like to start any type of thread like this.  I would recommend to use the PM system here.  If you share skype through that, that is up to you.

    Okay well thank you. So is it safe to make a thread asking for users if they want to get in touch with me via PM? Or shall I PM members randomly where I don't know if they are interested?

    If you are looking for members in your geographical area you can start a thread asking to be PM. The best way IMHO is to be an active member and get to know other members before staring random PMs. It may be a slower process but it is a better one. Good luck

    Maybe there is a specific thread for your location.  I just found that there is a Chicagoland thread here, where members from that area post.  On the TFW2005 site there is a sightings section and each state/country has their own thread.  Maybe something like that can be started?
