When the only thing you got in the mail the other day was a coupon for Target stating "$5 off a total purchase of $75 for toys/sporting goods" and the first thing on the list of exclusions written across the back is "Excludes LEGO". ....Thanks, Target, for making my holidays just a bit crappier.

My previous complaint about Fed-Ex not delivering my package is no longer valid - luckily today Fed-Ex arrived with my lost Research Institute. It sounds like the good will of a stranger out in the world who had my package left with them by mistake in a city 3 hours away from me and they must have returned it to Fed-Ex and today here it is. Made my day.

I got myself a PS4 for Xmas. I wanted the 20th anniversary edition but wasn't paying those QFLL $1,500 on eBay. So yesterday best buy had them with a downloadable game for $315 so I grabbed one.

I spent a few hours today cleaning, I actually dusted behind the TV to set up my new precious black box of goodness. I hook it up and have soothing music and a pretty blue screen but that is all as someone hacked the PSN.

Drive home was quick and easy until about 30 miles from home then the traffic stopped have been staring at mile marker 185 for a full 20 minutes.

I had an order for a Tower Bridge from LEGO Shop at Home that never made it my house (well maybe it did, but it wasn't around by the time I got back home from work). I called LEGO Shop at Home customer service, hoping they could help locate the package. The c/s rep immediately offered to send me out a new TB express shipped for free (I got it in time for Christmas). I wasn't expecting a replacement set at no cost, so that was a win in my mind. They had a problem finding a replacement 2/2 holiday promo set. The c/s rep says to me "I can't find any extra 2/2 holiday sets to ship you, but I do have a special promo item I can send you as compensation. Imagine my excitement thinking about what free goodie I might receive in the mail.....a Flower cart sent early release? a Hotdog or Balloon vendor cart poly-bag from earlier in the year?

 

Not so much as a complaint, but I'm not going to lie, I was a  little disappointed when I opened the package and it was a Worriz Fire Bike poly-bag.

That is one of those stories where you know how the joke ends, but you still lol when the punchline hits.

I can't sleep. I'm still up after getting home from work. I have a flag football game to play in the am(8:30 and two towns over). Getting(got) too old for this....

Not sure if this belongs in the complaint T thread or I live it thread.... But when u go out for a 30 min trip and it turns into a four hour trip cause u keep scoreing insane deals. Forced to eat some crappy food on the road. My life is so hard.

I love how some of you guys call yourselves 'investors'. Seriously, you couldn't make this stuff up if you tried. And then I see some people calling other people doing *exactly* what they are doing QFLL's? What are you guys going to do when resellers decide to move on to the next hot toy and you are left holding the bag with all of your 'stock'? You guys do realize that very few average (non collectors, non resellers) are going to pay $400 or $500 for a lego set, right? Anyway, keep on doing what you guys are doing. I look forward to reading about people making 10 dollars on items they spent $30 dollars in gas driving around to find. This site is fascinating!

Strange I flipped about 20 or 25 I can't remember R2's at Christmas for 275, 2 Fire Brigades for 330 and 1 SSD for 700 or so.

I let those go from my inventory to generate some early profits to help support other things.

I am not sure what you mean by very few are going to pay.

I just drove 2 hours on New Years Day at 7:30 AM EST to pay $200 for a Slave I that I am never going to open and is for me and is widely available.

I expended not only the cash for the Slave I, but Gas for 4 hours of Travel, Food, the entire day with my family with me and stopped by a Museum and spent money there.  I would pay $2,000 for a 10179 Millennium Falcon in a heart beat.  Would pay under $3,000 and would drive 6 hours one way to pick it up in person and would never open it.  I hope to find a mint new boxed one I can find one for me one day that I would buy and keep.  I would also never open it.  Why?

Not to have it appreciate and sell it down the road but to actually enjoy knowing and not caring if anyone else knows that I have one.

You are misguided on what people will pay.  I sell but i also pay considerably to add to my collection.

Big change from my weekend. My friend from nashville and i were in orlando with 86 and sunny and come back to 12 tonight. 23 right now wih 25-35mph winds. Nashville is 13 with -13 windchill. Seems much colder after the 80s a few days ago

This is the forecast for the next few days for me... And that's nice. We've had wind chills past -40F a few days last week. I'm complaining that you guys are complaining.

And yes, people still go outside. We walk the kids to school and daycare.. But it's effing cold and I don't enjoy it.
