RIP Diego Maradona.. One of my childhood heroes and a legend.

Wasn't familiar (not a big soccer fan), but watched some highlight reels - he had some truly incredible (nearly inconceivable) moves.

everyone wanted to be Maradona.

and Pele too for my childhood friends. We had a decently skilled core and successful high school team. I went on to play 3 years collegiately.   I also enjoyed watching the Brazil team during their run(s).

Welp, screwed up my first SAH order by going under the limit and missing the GWP and then screwed up my second SAH order by misclicking the in store VIP $20 redemption instead of the online one. Trying to clear it up and SAH CS phones go straight to busy signal and the chat is offline.

The moral here: I should not be ordering crap on a glitching website at midnight.

If you could just get the Dickens off your mind, maybe you could focus.

Placing your order on LEGO Shop at Home and going to sleep happy.
Waking up 5 hours later to see the entire order has been cancelled because you ordered ONE too many Frankenstein Brickheadz and went over the limit.
Next realizing you now have to call to get 9325 VIP points refunded only to realize the Wooden minifigure is now sold out.
Whatevah!

Called CS and finally got through. Points applied and they happily gave me another dickens. CS rep said, "honestly, this is only supposed to be one per house hold, but we have so many, so let me send you another one." Nothing quite like a free dickens on a Friday afternoon.

I hope they use protection (bubble wrap).

But isn't it better when the Dickens just goes straight in the box?

(I told myself I wasn't going to get involved with this, yet here I am.)

But he's getting two of them, so he definitely needs the protection.

Double Dickens was the name of my band in college. We played songs in which we interwove the plots of two Dickens' novels together.

Sounds like a tale of two bands

"Serious buyer" on Craigslist.

Right along the lines of "cash." What else would you give me? Goats?

I've had some requests for etransfers due to Covid, so that one doesn't bother me anymore.

I don't like when someone suggests a barter for something random. I didn't put trades in the post, so no.

If I had a nickel every time I heard that. Haha. As if the buyer thinks that saying "I've got cash" will encourage me to choose him over others or sell it to him at a big discount. SMDH

I would rather not deal with cash on expensive items (PS5, XBOX) and have said Paypal F&F as the only payment method.

don't you worry about a reversal? (especially on a large ticket item)

even venmo can be reversed after-the-fact

Venmo can be reversed too? I'm a newbie to Venmo so I didn't know that.

I require cash for all big ticket items. Too much risk for PayPal, etc.
