Don't they usually pay for return shipping? Demand a free box, and make them let you keep the damaged one for good measure.

That`s poor customer service IMO. If they messed up, they should at least compensate you additionally. It`s not asking too much to have you item(s) shipped properly and to at least send you what you ordered.
