Well, you can get a ban badge now I suppose. Do they still have those here?

When someone cooks fish in the break room microwave. Come on...

Oh man. Total workplace faux pas. I even hate popcorn in the office. It's not that the smell is bad, it just permeates the whole floor.

Fish in the microwave, worst thing that could happen in a microwave especially in the work place. That person should be terminated asap.

Three straight pages of gift card order status updates.  Why exactly would it be a bad idea to make a separate thread for gift card deals?  Those of us interested in saving more than, say $15 after jumping through lots of hoops have no choice but to slog through endless reports of buggy eBay coupon codes and various retailers banning people for actually using the gift cards.

We have a separate order status thread.  We have a separate thread for non-lego deals.  Even if for some reason gift cards are not to get a dedicated thread, surely these posts belong in some combination of 'order status' and 'non-lego' (since gift cards are not in fact lego and do not need to be spent on lego).

I am very sorry for your pain and suffering  ;)

When there are other deals to be had, you will find them here. Until that day, we have to make our own deals.

Back in my day the only deals we got were a swift kick in the pants and a one way ticket to fight the hun. And we liked it!

I believe the Macks' have weighed in on this if memory serves. End of story.

These are valid ways to save some money when buying LEGO.  Like Meijer or Shopko deals, just because only some members can take advantage of those does not mean they should not be posted here.

Also, technically the $15 off $75 is an eBay code good for any item on eBay.  You can use it to buy LEGO from TRU eBay for example.  Some people just chose to use it on gc instead.

Lastly, instead of complaining about it why not lead by example and post deals here.  By you posting deals here consistently, at least others would not need to slog through endless gc reports to find their deals

It's not the end of the story if you don't remember what they said.

I understand that lots of people like the gift card deals.  I'm not saying they shouldn't be posted, only that they have come to make up more than 50% of the daily deals thread and should at this point be in a separate thread.

Everyone values his or her time differently.  I get that.  But there is a huge difference between a deal like 50% off a $40 lego set, that you could replicate 20 times by buying 20 of that set and thereby save $400, and a gift card deal for a $10 off TRU gift card from an eBay seller who will only permit a single buyer to purchase two of them, for a total possible discount of $20 with the added hassle of buying and using the gift cards.  Allowing the latter in the same thread as the former only serves to obscure the really good deals that may be out there.

Many Lego deals have quantities limits too. Some 50% Lego sets drop value further and make you negative profit. Should they all be in a separate thread? These days I can hardly get a decent Lego discount without gc deals.
