technically, what's inside the box is still mint...but you have a point.

Strongly disagree. How can someone make a claim on something they can't see...?

Hey Walmart! No matter how many air pillows you surround the Lego set in, if there's a hole in the Lego box & not a hole in the shipping box, I know it left your warehouse like that...

Does it really take 20 minutes to make two cans of tinted paint? Granted, he to be-bop scan one of the colors to make a match (which took longer to bring the sample to the machine than get the result) but what in the world takes so long??

(I am not even joking that I waited for 20 minutes from the time he took the cans.)

Well it's voting day in Canada. I'm not really a fan of any of the political parties platforms so I just ended up voting for the best of the worst.

pretty sure that's the new standard everywhere...

Stopped by at the LEGO store in Gurnee Mills on my way back from Milwaukee last Saturday to buy $99 worth of LEGO to get the free train but was told by the manager that they don't accept Apple Pay even though they had touchless card readers. So I went to the Orland Park store after work just now and Apple Pay worked just fine. However, the cashier forgot to scan my free train and had to ask his buddy for help to redo the transaction. In the process of canceling the transaction, the system (as he put it) took off more VIP points that it should and I left the store with less points than before I went in, even though I didn't spend any on my purchase. I only realized this when I got home and promptly called to complain. I was assured that it'll be fixed, so we'll see.

Bricklink's maintenance schedule.  Drives me insane.

Probably because I'm in the one time zone that it affects the most (imo).  Tonight, it's their monthly maintenance, which is from 10-11 PM local time.  Nightly, it's the 10 minutes at 10:50 PM that gets me.

Why?  Because that's when I'm usually finishing up some of my dealings on BL.  And I have to wait those 10 minutes.  When all I want to do is go to bed at that point.  Argh!

I mixed up 3 different orders.  Two (polite) complaints were in within a couple of hours.  The third person has not opened his package yet.    :(

ouch! i hope they were not seasonal sensitive stuffs...

I hate going to TRU without a plan.  First TRU visit today went ok, but I really should have bought two Bricktober Bakeries instead of one. And I forgot I had a discounted GC to use.  So I went to the second TRU, forgot I had already bought the Bricktober Train Station, bought it again, hemmed and hawed about what else to get, and ended up with two sets I don't really *have* to have.  Now I'm just going to end up taking all three back (they were all for personal use).

watch out on the returns. look for the return value and see if they are worth it! sometimes with rewards redemption; giftcard usages its better to sell those sets than return back.

DirecTv's "complimentary monthly newsletter"

Seriously? Have you seen what you charge? You clearly don't know the definition of "complimentary"...

In this particular case, it was only $50 worth of sets (after coupons), so it's not a big deal.  I just try to stay off the return radar all together.
