September 25, 201312 yr I'm an AFOL who has recently come out of the 'dark ages' over the past year. I was a huge Lego nut when I was a kid in the 80's, most of my vintage collection consists of Classic Space, Futuron, Blacktron 1, 80's castle sets, and the first wave of Pirates in '89. I recently got married, and now have 2 step kids (and a newborn!). I bought my step son a Lego set as a Christmas present, and when I built it with him I got bit by the Lego bug myself. I feel fortunate that I came out of my dark age when I did. I was able to pick up most of the Kingdoms line, which I think is spectaluar, along with the Medieval Market Village, Lord of the Rings/Hobbit, and the Winter Village series. The only set I regret just missing is the exclusive Imperial Flagship. I ended up buying this after retirement at a significant markup, and that's what opened my eyes to Lego investing. I thought it would be a great way to fund this new hobby of mine. I stumbled across this site when someone linked to it at eurobricks. I think it's great that a resource like this exists for investors.
September 25, 201312 yr hello. Lego is the perfect gift that keeps on giving, for kids and kids at heart
