When & where did you find out about BrickPicker?

When I first got on BP three and a half months ago, stephen_rockefeller only had seven hundred some posts, and most of the people who post a lot now weren't even on the site. Whn did the forum activity increase so much?

Reddit is where I first found this site.

I landed here following a link from the forum at Brickset - I have been trying to familiarize with the different parts of the site before posting....

I'm a member of a local Lego Facebook group, but wanted to join an international forum (as that's how I get deals and good trades, by not limiting myself to on-shore transactions).. Google says this is the best forum for Lego, so I joined via Tapatalk.

Member as well of TheFwoosh, OneSixthWarriors and Sideshow forums.

I Googled "Lego Investing" and came across this site. I now read the forums almost daily.

There was an article on USD Today or something that talked about this place. That is where I heard of it.

I was pointed this way from CheapAssGamer.

Was searching the value of a set, and stumbled here. Happy I did!

I came across it while reading Lego threads on Reddit

I found out about this website by doing a google search for lego investing, which my in-laws brother has been doing for years and peaked my curiosity.

I came across you through You Tube (The Brick Show),

Watched alot of the parting out sellers on there, but wanted to know more about investing and suddenly here I am!!!!!!!!

Well,

I found this side early in 2012.
Since them I'm lurking...
It's funny it seems like I'm one of the oldest members here :pleasantry:

But well now I decided to actively participate in the Forum

A purchase on ebay the seller recommend this site ( thumbs up )

I guess I've known about the site for a while, but most recently someone mentioned it in a FB group I'm in.  In a very amateurish way I've started doing some Lego investing and thought I should join to keep track of what I have.

Came across this site about a year ago while searching around for TLG/AFOL forums and lurked on and off until joining today, so here I am. :clapping::)

from  brickset  to  brickpicker

This forum was mentioned in some posts on the brickset forum. So I decided to have a look at it.

I asked for an x-wing for Christmas and a week later got a tetchy email from my sis letting me know I was a greedy ¥$€@&. The price had pretty much doubled in that time straight after retirement which sparked my interest in the investment side.

A bit of Googling about investing in Lego later and i stumbled across this excellent site.

been lurking for a month but have been taking a lot of the advice on board so thanks to all.

I'm UK based but interesting to hear about the global trends.

Google pointed me to the right direction.:geek:

Hi All,

So this is my first post on BP. I found out about this site from a member of a Facebook Lego group I belong to. Life long Lego fan here. Mostly interested in city and creator sets, though my wallet is really going to start hurting if they continue to roll out all my childhood favorites: Simpsons, Ghostbusters, Scooby Doo.... Heaven help me if they come out with a Muppet series. (WHICH I WOULD TOTALLY LOVE!!!) And I will probably need a bigger house. ;) I spent a few hours adding to my brickfolio and discovered that I have a lot of Legos! I am not a member of other Lego sites. Kind of kept my Lego collecting to myself. If there are things you think I should I welcome your hints and suggestions. Or if you would like to just post a comment. I would enjoy that too! :)

I do have a few questions.

1. Is there a way to inventory items other than sets, say figures or pounds of types of bricks or other Lego products?

2. Can others see your brickfolio? And or without having looked further into the forums is there a way to find fellow city and creator set builder/collectors?

I searched for Lego on udemy.com and it came up with "legovesting". I searched "legovesting" and found it didn't have a website, so I searched "lego investing", saw brick picker, and the rest is history...
