Akin to the "Musical Picks" topic, I want to hear what your all time favourite movies/television shows are. It can be anything from action to drama to sports to romance (who watches that anyway though?). Don't be shy and don't be mean to other members, even if they really did enjoy Superbaby-Geniuses or whatever that piece of crap was called xD

I'll start off with a couple of my favs; I find most of the ones I put down are great films all together, but have shining endings.

Blood Diamond (Thriller/Drama): Leo DiCaprio picks up a sick south african accent in this eye-opening thriller/drama. Great music but if you're a Leo fan, you can probably already guess how it ends lol.

Friday Night Lights (Sports): I'm not a football guy, but the cinematography and story made this a refreshing change to the typical, predictable, sports movie. Plus, the instrumental music by Explosions in the Sky fits perfect (note: the trailer is crap, watch the film).

The Lord of The Rings Trilogy (Fantasy): If you are on a Lego forum where Lego LOTR products are frequently discussed, you probably already know how awesome the films are. If you don't, I'll leave it up to the mods to immediately revoke your membership to BrickPicker (jk).

And last I'll just end with my favourite TV show, which is probably going into its final season this year, The Mentalist (crime procedeural): this murder-a-episode series focuses on a former psychic who is now tracking the serial killer who murdered his family. The show can be light and funny, but when the serial killer ("red john") gets involved, it can get pretty unnerving. The series has spent 5 years tracking down murderers so feels a bit tired, but it is still my favourite. And, I'll post a trailer for the 3rd season finally:

Phew, if you got through all that... you don't get bored easily, do you? Now tell me your picks!

Pretty sure @TheOrcKing is going to when he sees this   And look who they cast as Scrooge

Interesting to see a different voice actor for each of the three nephews as opposed to the one in the original. David Tennant has some spacious spats to fill especially after the very recent passing of Alan Young just earlier this year. An advantage already for Tennant being he is Scottish compared to Young who was Canadian-American acting as a Scot though that is in no way downplaying Young's longtime signature performance of the likeable miser.

Anyway it is nice to see the new gang having some fun here. It will be a while still before seeing and hearing how fleshed out each actor can bring for their character. Aside from Scrooge himself, the other one I hope gets done right is good ol' Launchpad. He had such a signature laugh and warm spirit.

Anything Alien/Prometheus related with Ridley Scott is gold in my book. Will be looking forward to this film.

Ajin season 2 now available on netflix.  So far I've manage not to watch this season of this and Rebels. But tonight I binge !

I'm barely mature enough to go see this:

Is @Val-E starring in a movie now?

I found out season 3 of Black Mirror on Netflix and promptly watched it. I thought it was UK Channel 4 series, but I guessed Netflix bought it

Black Mirror is as sci-fi anthology series (like The Outer Limits) with emphasis on near future technology

Great show Black Mirror is. Thought this season was really good too. One of the best shows I watched last year easily :)

From the same animator behind the amazing TIE Fighter animation comes a tribute to R-Type.

Anyone watches The Grand Tour?  Basically Amazon version of Top Gear, but with tons of money

I watched 1st episode & part of 2nd and was pretty impressed.

I've seen up to episode 8, all shows have been great and it's nice to see the boys back on form. It's a little more "Adult" than Top Gear was so I wouldn't let any young daughters watch it with you. She'll only ask, "Daddy, what is a gentleman sausage?" the Namibia ones were my favourites.

I hope to watch the last 2 episodes by this weekend. Chris Evans & Matt LePlank didn't have a clue with Top Gear and I hope that the BBC dump it now.

I have enjoyed it. Only watched a few so far. Recently been distracted by Amazon's Man in the High Castle (much faster pace than season one, loved it) and Sneaky Pete (I felt I was being conned by episode 10, loved it), as well as Netflix's Medici Masters of Florence ("Robb Stark" plays the main character
"Cossimo").
