Anyone ever see the South Park episode where Cartman dressed up like a robot and gave a bunch of movie execs 800 film ideas all staring Adam Sandler? I'm pretty sure this was one of them.

This may be the one time I beat Emazers in posting a movie trailer. Haha.

I think you're right. The large Galaga alien spaceship in the sky was a pretty cool sight and the rest of the film looks like stupid fun but still gives a major "are you serious?" moment.

If you are remotely a fan of Star Wars and/or the X-Wing vs TIE Fighter PC game, then you must check out this short animated film. I am dead serious.

TIE Fighter was what I did my sophomore year in college instead of studying.

Wow. Loved that short film. Old school Japanese animation is just awesome. They should redo the whole trilogy this way.

Haha. I remember being originally introduced to the Star Wars PC flight sims back in the day by one of my sister's boyfriends. He was pretty cool and we would trade off playing this stage or the next. I could say it was his fault for my computer gaming habits to begin with.

Friggin awesome. Reminds me of a newer version of the old Japanese cartoon Star Blazers.

Going by the video description, that was the feel he was hoping to achieve using a lot of rotoscoping much of the classic animation used to use.

That would be incredible to see.

The animator behind that TIE Fighter animation was also behind the Doctor Who anime plus he has a few other projects you can see on his channel.

OMG!! That short movie was great!! Motto! Motto! (More! more! :P )

Heck yeah.  I played X-Wing then "graduated" to TIE Fighter :D

I have not played those games in a while. But, from time to time I feel the urge to dogfight / destroy a bunch of rebel scums so I load up my SW Battlefront II

On the opposite spectrum, there's this

I'm a big comic book guy, but I'm just not sold on this movie.

Seriously - ant man? Are they out of better ideas?

I hope we didn't see the two funniest parts in the trailer (I always like some good comedy with my action movies).

- "My days of breaking into places and stealing stuff are over!"

- "This is how you punch."

Honorary mention for the Thomas the Train scene.

But yeah... not sure it's worthy of it's own movie. I hope all this one-offs have the end-goal of some massively awesome finale rather than just milking a few more dollars from everyone's pockets.

I bet they are building up the additional characters to fill up either sides of the "Civil War" storyline for Avengers 3.  We cannot have a civil war with just 6 or 8 heroes currently in Avengers roster.

If they can tackle such a more obscure character with enough finesse, it would give me better hope for all the other heroes out there in the Marvel or DC universes. How many times can it always be the same ones they have done a billion times over to save the day again? Creating an entire film around a person like Ant Man sounds rather daunting not to mention when the fight scenes spring forth but I still remember the teaser from a couple years ago and thought they appeared to be taking this guy very seriously.

Next I want to see Deadman or the demon Etrigan or Dr. Fate. What the heck, surprise me!
