Akin to the "Musical Picks" topic, I want to hear what your all time favourite movies/television shows are. It can be anything from action to drama to sports to romance (who watches that anyway though?). Don't be shy and don't be mean to other members, even if they really did enjoy Superbaby-Geniuses or whatever that piece of crap was called xD

I'll start off with a couple of my favs; I find most of the ones I put down are great films all together, but have shining endings.

Blood Diamond (Thriller/Drama): Leo DiCaprio picks up a sick south african accent in this eye-opening thriller/drama. Great music but if you're a Leo fan, you can probably already guess how it ends lol.

Friday Night Lights (Sports): I'm not a football guy, but the cinematography and story made this a refreshing change to the typical, predictable, sports movie. Plus, the instrumental music by Explosions in the Sky fits perfect (note: the trailer is crap, watch the film).

The Lord of The Rings Trilogy (Fantasy): If you are on a Lego forum where Lego LOTR products are frequently discussed, you probably already know how awesome the films are. If you don't, I'll leave it up to the mods to immediately revoke your membership to BrickPicker (jk).

And last I'll just end with my favourite TV show, which is probably going into its final season this year, The Mentalist (crime procedeural): this murder-a-episode series focuses on a former psychic who is now tracking the serial killer who murdered his family. The show can be light and funny, but when the serial killer ("red john") gets involved, it can get pretty unnerving. The series has spent 5 years tracking down murderers so feels a bit tired, but it is still my favourite. And, I'll post a trailer for the 3rd season finally:

Phew, if you got through all that... you don't get bored easily, do you? Now tell me your picks!

This is the worst movie I have ever seen........but it's entertaining and painful to watch. Is this where these peoples careers have gotten them?

It's Kurt Angle and a 1 hand Tara Reid.

Awesome movie.

What an opening. Its already better than Goodfellas.

Blasphemy against the Film Gods. You should be ashamed of yourself, think about what you just said.......

TOK, is it you that's into pinball?  I'm not sure how I missed this, but I ran across it on Amazon Prime tonight.

Great stuff!

Special When Lit - Pinball Documentary

Shoot, I have been waiting to see that documentary for a few years now but then let myself get sidetracked and forgot all about it. Thanks for the reminder! Now I recall there was supposed to be a film on various indie game developers. I don't know if that was completed yet or even the name. Ugh, I'm so absent minded.

Some deadpool test footage from a few years ago has leaked. This link may die as Fox has been having it pulled from numerous sites, but it's the internet, once it's out, it's out.

I believe it's mostly if not all CGI, but the concept is pretty cool. As someone that never read comics, and thus has no point of reference for deadpool, this looks like it would make a kick ass movie. Imagine what a whole film of this would do to the value of 6866.  :money:

Your right. I meant to say it's better than Goodfellas, Godfather, and Pulp Fiction.

I have a small part in Tromas Return to Nukem High so I gotta look out for the B movie trash...

Wasn't this movie already made and called book of eli

I'm not sure how I feel about Khal Drogo as Aquaman???

He definitely fits the Justice League Unlimited version, beard and all. I thought he portrayed Conan the Barbarian in that last movie very well and remember him on Stargate: Atlantis being a badass. He could make the character cool again just like how the Justice League Unlimited series did. On that note, maybe the Arctic Batman set will become more popular unless another Aquaman minifigure is released with a new set.

I just discovered extreme couponers on tlc and I feel like such a noob now. I need to sell orange juice not lego.

There is a show on Discovery Channel called Extreme Collectors in which this guy stops by your place and checks out & evaluates your collection of items. One of the episodes featured a Hot Wheels collection...but immediately I thought that Jeff and Ed should be on this show. This would be even more great publicity for brickpicker!

ha we have that show on in the background and if they are willing to appraise a tiki collection why not a lego

I think I'm out of ideas. I heard just recently of Studio Ghibli possibly taking a break from film production with their last one being "When Marnie Was There". Their repertoire is hardly anything remotely close to Black Lagoon but they are artistically well-drawn tales of amazing fantasy.

OK, I recommended "The Conjuring" over and over last year as a great scary flick to watch over the holidays.

A prequel is coming out called "Jessabelle", which I think might freak me out to the point I may never watch it.  Yes, it's about a doll and scary dolls freak me out.

Would you survive? On the weather channel.

I watched the movie "Prisoners" the other night and it was pretty damn good. I would recommend it.
