I watched Scorsese's Raging Bull recently. Was very disappointed. Maybe it's just been over-hyped and I expected too much. It paled in comparison to Taxi Driver and Goodfellas in my opinion. Joe Pesci throwing himself into attack mode onto Frank Vincent and his string of slurs at him seemed almost like a parody of that similar scene with the same actors from Goodfellas, despite pre-dating it by a decade. And that was one of Goodfellas' best scenes. Idk. Just the whole thing. The plot, acting, characters all seemed very weak compared to those other 2 helmed works of his from the earlier half of his career. Same can be said for Robert De Niro's performance in comparison to Travis Bickle, just very meh. And the ending with him quoting Brando's On The Waterfront "I coulda been a contender" speech I found to be very cringy.
