A quick google to an unboxing video shows 4295 pieces.

Darn it.  Now I have to call LEGO Shop at Home eight times, requesting 108 missing pieces for each of my old TB's...  What did they do anyway?  Add another car?

I wonder whether or not multiple requests for the new parts for the same set will prompt Lego to look into whether or not the requester is a potential reseller.

8 pieces, and it's probably just a way of accounting for the extra bricks every set has.

Do we have some seal codes on recent acquired SOH's? Would be interesting to see.

bought a damaged box one today off a new shipment truck and it was 21R5.  Not sure if you wanted EU codes but that is what was here

As far as the tower bridge box was told they were always 4295 and box was just incorrect and never fixed, when they changed the the new expert logo they just changed it

Thanks! It does not matter really if they are european or US seal codes. Most important is the week and year. 

21R5 (18-24 May) is not quite recent but also not old. We'd better keep an eye on these. 

Yeah, last big EU restock was at the beginning of May and only 80 odd left now so may be on its last legs.

The new box plays no much big role here... Compare the amount of parts!

4295 vs 4287 in the old version...

 

Must be the 2x4 plates that were added when they replaced the part 4854 with the new 72454 which has holes in it. The 2x4 plates are used cover the holes. See the Bricklink inventory notes for the set.

It was available to buy yesterday, so I think it's a glitch, or one of those Lego things they like to do to freak us out.

I really like the set. Was hopping to get 2 in November just before the big sales.... but its probably not going to happen

Or did you mean the "Exclusives" category that not only includes sets tagged as "Exclusive" but also "Hard to find items"?

Maybe they just decided it was iconic enough for general release.  will see it on shelves at kmart and walmarts all across the land.

PS especially, which got a massive restock. DS also got a restock of 119 units.

interesting to note TB, Tumbler and T1 were some of the few big sets that didnt get a restock yesterday (although probably not evidence of anything these days!)
