New guy brought here by the EOL rumors of Jabba's Palace. I loved Legos as a kid and have picked up small sets here and there for the minifigs (mostly SW). The past month I jumped in pretty hardcore picking up the Palace and of course needed the Rancor pit and skiff to match! haha! I also picked up a B-Wing on the 4th and have come across some of the Monster sets on clearance which I quickly added being a fan of the old school monster movies. Looking forward to learning a lot and enjoying this hobby AND hopefully making good investments. Thanks!

    I know when I called around Toys R Us and Barnes and Noble NC had some of the last Harry Potter sets available. No one there seemed to want them hah. I picked up some castles and trains that way..

    Welcome to BrickPicker! The Monster Fighters theme, excluding the Haunted House will be retiring this summer, which is probably why you see so many on clearance as a whole theme is on its way out. Later, maybe in June, you will see other sales on Star Wars, LEGO City, and a bunch of other sets, though we probably get a better clearance during After-Christmas sales.
