If there is one thing I have learned, it's that music truly is the most universal language in the world. Besides myself looking for yet another excuse to post anything at all or just a good one to post music videos, I would like everyone here to feel free to post links to some of your favorite tunes and/or talk about what you like to listen to. Consider this thread your very own little "House of Blues" as it were.

Anyway as for an opening post, I had some difficulty trying to think of a good opener, a nice ice breaker everyone may enjoy, and well I came up with this. Enjoy.

This song is about 35 years old and may be older than some of you

 

 

Another 35 years old song from the best album ever (IMHO).  You know the album was good when a track buried deep on side A was better than 80% of songs from that decade

(And yes, I am just bored right now)

Getting there. At this point it would probably be classified as "classic". Perhaps in another twenty or so years it will be an "oldie".

Not me considering I'm older than the tune by a couple years. Depending on how long the song was being written I could be as old as the tune itself I suppose.

Now there's a track I yet to see picked for anyone's playlist. Tis' a shame really.

 

When I was little, I thought this song was about people who just loved their part time jobs

 

 

 

Grew up on bands like Alice in Chains, now reminiscing about bands like Alice in Chains. Damn I'm old.

 

I never watch Naruto anime (only read the manga), but its opening theme is actually pretty kick ass

 

I am a sucker for songs that mix old and new instruments like this:
