Getting to know you

I would just like to know how old everyone here on Brickpicker is plus what gender. Just wondering if there are a bunch of youngish men/women or oldish men/women. Thanks.

PS: If you aren't comfortable giving your age, I am not pressuring you. ;)

Medical Doctor, found this site while looking up prices to complete my UCS collection.  Since moved on to modulars.  My 7 year old son got me hooked to Legos about three years ago.  I like bargains just like everyone else here.  I love reading the comments.

As a doctor you probably have some income to help you out. Lol.

I have been wondering how people can afford to Pay 5k a month on Lego. But seeing some of these jobs I know now how they do.

Lots of people savings go into Lego too.

I wish I had 5k a month to spend on Lego

I noticed a lot of smart people in this thread. Justifies spending a lot of money so my daughters stay interested in Lego's.

My first important job was manager for an electronics store at 21, then owned a restaurant for 10 years, and now a software engineer in the video games industry for 13 years. Married with 3 kids 15, 14, and 10. Loved legos as a kid, and fell in love again while shopping for a gift for my youngest. Luck has it that she loves legos now, so I found myself a partner

I now buy mostly collectible sets that I can part out, to balance the risk. My goal is to part out my bad investments and keep the good ones to sell whole at a multiple of price paid in a couple years.

Hi there all brick baron's

New to Brickpicker, have only started collecting lego over the last two years, only from Star Wars IV-VI playsets, minifigs and UCS sets.

I'm from Christchurch, New Zealand

any other kiwi memebers?

I've heard a rumour that in september 2015 Lego are releasing a UCS Tie Fighter set number 75095 retailing for $400.00 NZD

34 and live in Richmond, VA.  Like others, my 5 year old has pulled me back in to Legos after a 25 year hiatus.

I'm also proud that I have been able to successfully steer him towards the Star Wars sets and not Chima (thank you Star Wars Rebels!)

Greetings and welcome to the site. I'm a kiwi living in the UK. I was in Christchurch for the first time back in March, first time in the South Island.

I managed to pick up a couple of a Mini Modulars sets from a toy shop in Mata Mata. Unfortunately I could not fit any FBs in the suitcase.

The only other Kiwi I know on here is Gromlin who does a lot of work for the site. But I am sure there are others lurking.
