Hello everybody!

Recently I came out of the so called 'dark ages' to renew my love for LEGO. :)

Having grown up in the 1970s and 1980s I played with the original LEGO Space sets and other comparatively simple LEGO from the 1970s. Now that I have children of my own I see them play with their own LEGO and it reminds me of the fun I had as a child while building LEGO scenes.

Of course, LEGO has come a long way since then and there are now advanced models with expert building techniques. These advanced modular buildings and other expert sets have drawn my attention and recently I have started to buy some of these sets for myself. So far I bought:

10220 Volkswagen T1 Camper Van
10242 Mini Cooper Mk VII
10242 Mini Cooper Mk VII
10248 Ferrari F40
10240 Red Five X-wing Starfighter
75060 Slave 1

The VW Camper, Ferrari F40 and one of the Mini Coopers I'm keeping sealed in the box, while enjoying the happiness of building the other Mini Cooper. :)

I also have ordered from the LEGO (NL) store, and still waiting on delivery because one item (Birds) is on back-order:

21108 Ghostbusters Ecto-1
21301 Birds
21303 WALL-E

I will very likely buy another WALL-E set as well so I can keep one sealed in the box while building the second one for fun.

And ... I'm eyeing the Advanced Modular buildings to add to my LEGO collection:

10218 Pet Shop
10232 Palace Cinema
10243 Parisian Restaurant
10246 Detective's Office

Most likely I will start with the Pet Shop because I'm expecting that set to be retired before 2016 arrives.

And that's my introduction for now. :)
