PC Classics X-Wing and Tie Fighter to be Re-released:

Featured Replies

This certainly won't hurt the value of the LEGO ships, especially some of the lesser known ones like the Y/A/B-Wings and maybe even some of the TIE Variants.

Who knows how well they have aged, but these two games were way ahead of their time and fantastic back then. Old guys like me rediscovering them (and their kids, and a new generations with Rebels and new Star Wars movies) could be a nice side boost to the starfighter kits.

Though quite frankly, I don't really care how it effects LEGO prices. I am pumped they are doing this. Now to find the time to actually play...

I'm really excited about this, I was addicted to these games.  Wonder if it will work with usb joysticks.

Hopefully someone will create a proper remake in the near future.

I almost bought this game several times, but when you're a kid trying to earn money, you have to be selective.  I just wasn't into "flying" games enough, and I don't think I ever got a demo in my PC Gamer magazine, so I went with Warcraft instead.

Warcraft was a good call. Dune II (Precursor to Warcraft) and X-Wing were literally the reasons I bought a 486 PC and moved away from my C-64/286 PC existence.
