Hey guy, I'm new to the lego collecting game and I'm hoping to learn from the veterans. Hopefully I can learn to support my growing lego addiction and get some for my kid as well. haha.

    Welcome!  I'm in Virginia too.  Did you catch the Brick Fair that was in Chantilly this weekend?  It was a great time.  I'm new here to and this is a great place to get great advice.  Good luck keeping sets for yourself when the kids see them!  I have 4 kids and they want to build every set I have.
