  1. Thanks for the advice. I'll see about revising the listing. I certainly don't want to appear to be hiding something. I would love to do an in person sale, but seems that would limit my customer base. Plus gettng somewhere in the DC metro area can be extremely time consuming even if it's not all that far. It's a shame eBay has gotten so sketchy for assuring seamless transactions. I think it used to be better under the old feedback system. That had it's own issues as well, but at least you had some form of recourse if a sale went awry.
  2. Have had a couple offers well above that already, but that is helpful info. Hard to gauge true street price from the brickfolio price.
  3. I have a 4 early Batman sets which have appreciated at different rates. I would like to turn them over and reinvest in a Black Pearl. I was thinking of offering them as a bundled lot sale such that the lot would represent more value together then separate. Does anyone have any advice on the best approach? Ideally looking for someone with experience using both approaches. Aside from strategy, should anyone happen to have a Black Pearl in very good condition, and is interested in a trade please reach out and I can provide details on my Batman sets. Per the Brickfolio, my sets are worth around $450 which is a bit below a VGC Black Pearl FMV, but I have a few other sets to offer which could easily make up the difference.
  4. Asked a few days ago about the Brick Classifieds. Looks like this feature did not pan out here so I decided to list on eBay. This is the listing http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=2&pub=5575378759&campid=5338273189&customid=&icep_item=222971534110&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229466&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg&toolid=11111 Sorry if this is a breach of etiquette for the forum or against the rules, but links leading to the Brick Classifieds are pretty dated / broken and it is not all all clear what the protocol is for posting listings from eBay here. Just trying to find an AFOL who is interested in a legitimate single owner USC 10030 in above average condition and let them know it is available. Thanks, and apologies in advance if this is not per current forum etiquette/protocol.
  5. Yes, brickclassifieds, that was it. Thanks for the heads up.
  6. As I recall, there used to be a dedicated feature to offer items for sale. Was hoping to avoid eBay. I guess it wasn't working out here? I did find a bricklink site, but it also looks a bit dodgy and not many us based members/stores. I am looking to sell my 10030 set to fund the purchase of a new MF UCS and just wanted an honest price and transaction within the US.
  7. It's been a while since I have checked out the forum and the last time I was here (late 2016, early 2017) there was a place to post items for sale. I don't see it offered any more. Is this no longer a feature of Brickpicker?
  8. Been collecting for a while and just found this site. Great to be able to come here and get a sense of the value of some of my sets. I was wise enough not to open a couple of them, and I am glad I did not, but I am also kicking myself for not buying some of the one's I was eying over the years, like the Hogwarts Express. I am also surprised to find some of the very first sets (like the 7181 Tie Interceptor) are not higher up on the list. At any rate, I just picked up the Sphero BB8 from Force Awakens based on how well some of my Star Wars sets appreciated. I mentioned it to a friend of mine and he said he thought it would be too highly mass produced to be a collectible. Any thoughts from the board members here? I am really itching to crack it open, but don't want to be regretting it later.
