  1. A friend of mine has still 2x 21309 on backorder, Lego sent the 2 sets by accident to a wrong adress in another country so they told him they will deliver it when the next production run is finished. He already paid for it. Of course, Lego can cancel this order any time but it is unlikely at this moment.
  2. I also think so, perhaps it will show a performance like the 40139 - GB. Maybe I pick up the Old Fishing Store for personal build in a German Lego Store to get my hands on this promotion. I refuse to pay the Dutch Lego tax ;-)
  3. Really Lego? Is this a new thing that we in Europe also have to spend 125 euro (instead of 55 euro) to get this nice promo? Oh well, higher buy-in means probably more scarcity. But what to buy? I hope the 21309 Apollo will come back these couple of days.
  4. Very nice deal, they already shipped the 2x 76018 sets I ordered. Total of almost 158 pound including shipping Thank you Amazon.
  5. Damn.. same here, too bad I didn't order. Didn't thought people were that impatient. I will in the end pick up some in Germany, no way I will pay that Dutch Lego tax of +50 euro.
  6. Reminds of the good old days the 10228 - Haunted House went C2C.. everybody was F5'en like frenzy. Great time.
  7. Haha, I know what the Lego plan is.. they just keep it Shop at Home exclusive from now on. Why provide stock to (large) retailers like Galeria, if Lego can sell the entire production runs within a few days and keep the profits for themselves. This set will definitely come back, I beleive it's a money printing machine at the moment.. they don't even have the burden of keeping it stocked in warehouses, once produced they can directly ship it to customers. If it goes EOL at this moment, it's like Val-E says their should be really really goed reasons for it, and the only one I can think of is purely technical or licensing.
  8. Yes, experience same issues with the Dutch shop at home.
  9. I only got 2 thus far, not buying more. In the EU, it is still very widely available so yeah.. you can still buy a ton of these if such an unlikely event (early 10248 retirement) happens.
  10. I think the F40 will do well in the end (licensed, unique pieces). I also have a feeling this one can potentially be discontinued before the T1 and Cooper due to bad sales / expiring Ferrari license . We all know that Lego made new rules with respect to retirements (i.e. 10224-Town Hall).
  11. Nice that he thinks the money is on the way. Definetly a scammer, good research.
  12. Their biggest mistake this year is re-releasing the Death Star; people lost faith that a Lego product will hold at minimum its basic (retail) value. Combine this with oversupply, reselling hoard and lack of exclusivity, which will leave a company with warehouses full of overpriced sets. If Lego is really smart, they also retire an exclusive which is not labeled 'retiring soon'. Like the Parisian Restaurant or the Disney Castle ;-)
  13. Lego has began to liquidate itself. Those F5 days to acquire Town Halls, Haunted Houses are over, good old days..
  14. Same here, had to wait for more than 2 weeks to get a quite large amount of money back on my bank account. You don't hear anything from them, need to ask for your money. In there e-mail replies they thread you like you're a criminal. They are not a German example of politeness (and correctness). But in the end.. no worries, you will get your money back.
  15. Lego is adapting the Lepin policy: Copy an already existing set and then quickly to the market to make some $$ Very disappointed about this news, really thought Lego would make a great UCS set for AFOLS again like the 10221.
  16. Sold 4x 42056 - Technic Porsche within 1 week. Bought 4 sets for 255 euro each which arrived last week, moved 2 for 315 per set and another 2 for 319 per set (no fees and shipping costs excluded). Glad I sold them all on time, prices are already dropping as this set is currently available at some big retailers (TRU, Amazon).
  17. I think there will be some surprise retirements in the fall. Personally, I really think that the Temple of Airjitzu will be one of them due to bad sales and probably high production complexity. I remember something that despite bad sales, TLG retired the Town Hall due to production problems with this set?
  18. Lego sales are getting behind with their peak last year, so they decided to boost it a little after some boring board meeting. We will see this more often as more people give them the cold shoulder and buy Lepin instead ;-)
  19. 43S5 from the ones I got.
  20. C2C in EU. About time :-)
  21. Going to buy it tonight at Bol.com for 25 euro's. Have a gift card of 10 euro's and a coupon of 2,50 euro discount which makes it a total of 12,50 euro. Really need to have this book, read only good things about it.
  22. Well, I also know people here in Holland still not buying it, despite they have plenty of cash, storage & time for it. They will regret with their simplistic reasoning that this set will be a bad seller like Arkham Asylum. Like Ed said: This said isn't comparable, it is much better. In my opinion, even when you are in Europe, you should buy this set when you have of course the resources for it. Available resources is for everybody different and from my side I totally respect that. Please tell me: How often will Lego retire a highly respected exclusive after 1.5 years? Was so scarce available (at least here in Europe)? This might be a once in a decade opportunity, with a little bit of luck this set will become a legend within 5 years. People which are worried about the 'retiring soon' tag. Why worried? Most of the sets are now bought by investors and hopefully Lego decided not to produce anymore and sell of their last big stock. A lot of sets are not ending up by end-users and sold out = sold out hopefully. Little bit more reseller competition perhaps, but as long as you are patient and hold for the long-term you will potentially be sitting on gold.
  23. Just called Lego to pay a Lego order for a friend. When everything was arranged, I start a little bit of a general talk about the fact that the Tumbler was tagged 'retiring soon' and that I couldn't imagine it was retiring and really needed this set. Then she was looking in the system and said they had thousands 1.5 week ago and now only a few hundred left in inventory. She expected that it will last till next week and then it's done. She was willing to order also one on my account, but I think it's better that she is not having a look at my account ;-) so I told her I will buy these online myself lol. Well.. let's see if this set is truly done next week. According to her, their will be no restock after it is sold out. Gone = gone at least here in Europe. And oh yeah! A tip for when you call Lego and don't want them to see your order list: Just hide your number, I was told that the employeess will immediately see your complete history because a specific number is tagged to an account. Just hide your number and they know nothing about you or your history,

    Happy Holidays

The train super pack (66493) for my nephew :-)
  25. True. Unfortunately, there is overal only just one good buy moment at this store because they are overall too expensive: During 3=2, and I know from my local ToysXL that this promotion will perhaps never come back (at least this year). Where is by the way their webshop? Pure mismanagement happening there: With such a large collection and inventory you need to have online presence.
