  1. A USC Enterprise would be amazing. I also wouldn't mind seeing the following: - A 'Castle'-type theme based off of Greek Mythology. - Or a 'Castle' theme based off of Warcraft lore(particularly Warcraft I or II). - A couple of ridiculously awesome, classic muscle and/or sport cars. Just think: Lego Lambo Countach. Mmmm.... - A number of military aircraft done up Sopwith Camel style. I know, I know... it's a stretch... - I've also been waiting to see a train set that looks realistic. I'm talkin about a big, bad, intimidating motorized locomotive! - I'd love to see the Pirates theme return. While it would be cool to see a re-imagined line that kids could get into, I'd be happy with adult styling. - And lastly, because I'm a castle freak, I'd LOVE to see a modernized take on the classic 80's and early 90's Castle sets. 'Realism' + play features for da win!
  2. This thread makes me feel old as $#@. As an aside, I cannot help but wonder if those who abhor the Lego Monster theme (or anything else that's perceived as 'dark'), also go so far as to shield their precious, sweet, innocent offspring from the horrors of Halloween. To think that we in North America have the gull to make light of the darker recesses that stem from our imagination. Psh. Now where'd I put my devil's music? It would go perfectly with my collection of devilish Lego toys. Iron Maiden and the Vampyre Hearse baby!
  3. I also forgot to mention the now-retired Monster theme. Love it !
  4. *nerd squeal* !
  5. Welcome to the fray. I gotta say, you already have more Lego's than myself !
  6. Hell yeah. Now THIS is my kinda topic. I absolutely love music! Here's a sample of the stuff that see's heavy rotation at casa Shiden.. Incubus - Pardon Me Angus and Julia Stone - All the Colours Van Morrison - I'll be your lover, too Dave Brubeck Quartet - Take Five Vince Guaraldi Trio - Christmas time is here Chopin - Waltz in C Minor Epica - Run for the Fall
  7. Ditto what Stephen said.
  8. I could see myself going in the same direction as Alpinemaps once I hit my 40's. In my minds eye, Lego sets are non-essential items. They are cool to have, but if the day ever comes to where they are just sitting around, collecting dust, and getting no real 'love', well.... that's the day when I'll either sell them or pass them along to a kid who'll actually play with em'. That all being said, I'm nowhere close to that stage atm! Hell, I only just now emerged outta what people here refer to as the 'dark ages'. So I'm going to kick back and enjoy the whole 'wide eyed' phase of the game while I can. Oh, and I was lucky. My parents never sold my toys!
  9. I'm 31, and can't believe that time has passed by so quickly. The good news (to me) is that I've managed to retain a good amount of youthful energy. The bad news is that my body ain't what it used to be, meaning there are days when a one-lunged 70-year old woman could outpace me in a walking contest. Eh, the energy, it comes and goes... Anyway, I'm fairly new to the Lego scene. Truth be told, I haven't played with a Lego set since I was in the 10th grade, which was half a freakin' lifetime ago! Since then, I've been on a proverbial Lego blackout, purposeful trips to the toy isles not withstanding. So I suppose you could say that 2014 marks my (triumphant?) return to Lego. The thing is, I'm not sure if I'm cut out for investing. I like the stuff that I've purchased so far. Besides, I know how I work. Unless my 'investments' shoot way up in value within the next year or so, I'll probably say "eff it" and open em' up. The only thing saving my butt right now is the fact that I have nowhere to display most of these sets. Oh well. I've been 'getting my fix' by enjoying some cute cheapy sets. Sets like the Easter Bunny, the baby Emerald train set, select mini-figs, and even the... *looks left, then looks right*... mixels. *disappears before judgement can be cast!*
  10. Awesome score. Congrats.
  11. * Opens the door. Reads the thread. Shakes my head, sighs, then slowly backs away *
  12. Waddamon, Woot! Somebody else who actually enjoys the 2013 line! It's funny you should mention the Black Monarch's castle. That was my very FIRST castle. My parents got it for me when I was roughly 6 years old. It's still one of my favorite toys from childhood.
  13. Hmmm. I seem to be one of the few Castle fans who actually like this set!
