On demand/popularity, on the original run of the set and where you are located on the planet. but if you got an hot item and want to have some quick cash I'd say about 9-12 months. But you need not to hit yourself in the head when it continues to rise for another few years before finally leveling out. It's the literal price you pay for cashing in quickly. So bottom line, it depends.

I buy mostly from local Lego dealers. however I also think we have strong position buying from the united states with such a strong Euro. Even though shipping mostly is insane you can still make a profit flipping sets in the local/European market. As there are still a lot of people who are not willing to risk getting shipments from overseas or willing to pay the high shipping costs. Latest purchase is from Bricklink 10186 for 138,-
