  1. Just finished the sitcom tower that's on rebrickable. Wanted a way to get Seinfeld into my modular city. Love how it turned out.

  5. Man, Time marches on. 8 months since the last post. I’m going to focus on the happy fact that it doesn’t look exactly the same. As opposed to focusing on the unhappy fact that it’s not as far along as I would like! Here’s where we sit today. Next step is to build the plywood riser for the back portion that the trains run under. Cross your fingers on that happening next week!

  6. I’m about to start working on this… hope to have it running in 12 months. Frame off restoration.

  7. It wasn't today, this was actually back on Sunday. I ran the Houston Marathon in 3:16:28, and qualified for my first Boston Marathon at age 46. I'm still flying high, enjoying the break from running this week, and eating anything I can get my hands on.

  8. Chickens definitely have different personalities! We have 12 chickens and have named each one. My wife calls them her emotional support animals. She loves them so much. She holds them in her lap, lets them stand on her head or shoulders, and cuddles them all the time. As for bees, she wants to do that too, but we already have two dogs, a tarantula, a ball python, and the aforementioned 12 chickens. *facepalm*

  9. “I love it when a plan comes together.” Cut and put in the riser today. Little bit of angle iron and a few supports for the sag, and then I can spend a million bucks on bricklink!

  10. Built the AT-ST. Very detailed and compliments the UCS AT-AT nicely. Canabilized the Probe Droid stand for the Snowspeeder. Probe Droid is now a parts pack.

  12. Have been staying away from this thread until I watched the third episode last night. Everyone's posts are spot on. Weakest episode so far. That chase seen was downright awful. I'll leave this pic as my contribution to this thread for the week.

  14. I like to compose and arrange music as an experimentalist/hobbyist. I play guitar, piano, and drums and played percussion in concert band from middle school through college. I like electronic music quite a bit and like making beats and loops and working with synthesizers. Occasionally, I'll save enough homemade loops of varying length with a common theme that I can arrange a full song. I got out of it for about 6 or 7 years and have just recently found myself back in it. I find it really fun, it's a great outlet.

  27. That had to be one of the slowest moving chase scenes I have ever watched. It looked like someone could have been going at a light jog and kept pace. I guess Vespa "speeders" can't go too fast. If I didn't love all things star wars so much I would be giving up on this show after episode 3. Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk

  37. It’s an IKEA Meltorp. 29.5 wide, 49.25 long, 29.125 tall. They also sell a square version. 29.5 W and L. I have six for our Lego city. Just a smidge small for an even number of base plates, but since they’re all on Mils plates it’s cool. Cheap too And while we’re on the subject of things I like for building Lego, this little number is the sweetest. Almost makes dusting fun

  38. I am trying to get back into drawing again (again). I became burnt and exhausted some years ago. Nothing professional, just something I always liked to do for myself really since I was little. Perhaps some figure studies. I don't know. Meanwhile I have gotten myself back into a routine of personal fitness if that could be considered a hobby. Down about eight pounds at least even though I already am around my targeted weight for height. Been feeling better about myself with more energy. And eating substantially less as well but more thirsty instead. Maybe not quite healthier eating though. Ha. That blue is freakin' sweet. Great ride of course but damn.

  39. Went to Walmart and they have the new Batman sets priced 20% off on the shelf as was previously posted by another member. They scanned full price with scan and go and at the register so I left them. Didn’t feel like it was worth dealing with a Walmart human.

  40. I build the set and apply the stickers after using a weighted long tipped Xacto Knife. Sometimes I will have to disassemble a few pieces to reach and get things aligned up properly, but doing it this way you can place the stickers so they display best which is not always centered as seen above. If it is just 2 stickers I have them touching but when it is 3 in a row I try to center the middle and have the ones on the sides as close to the middle sticker as possible if that makes sense. For concave and convex elements I will use eyeglass spray cleaner to wet the element first and then align it. For translucent stickers I will always clean the elements first with the eyeglass spray as fingerprints show through, and for translucent stickers on translucent elements that are highly visible I will wear nitrile gloves and use the spray. If I am being my usual OCD self I will try and apply them as close to reality. On the Ford GT lego uses 2 stickers for the front grille air intake with an orange gap in between. Sometimes vehicles do have a splitter in the body color so you want that gap but looking at the real GT it is not there so I aligned the 2 stickers touching and along the bottom edge of the elements. Lego shows them centered which looks nicely aligned but like arse to me. Probably a lot more than you wanted to know, and this adds a lot of time to the build but the results are more realistic. https://www.walmart.com/ip/X-Acto-No-1-Precision-Knife-Z-series-with-Safety-Cap/21778184

  41. Obviously a rectangle isn't the hardest piece, but this example shows my general strategy and also a pitfall of that strategy. These stickers would look best rammed right up to the center edge, but my default is to center side to side and then leave that much room at the end. Hopefully this diagram makes sense? Also there is a lot of dust in Apocalypseburg.

  42. https://www.brickfanatics.com/vincent-van-goghs-the-starry-night-painting-is-being-turned-into-an-official-lego-ideas-set/ pretty stoked this got approved I feel like the recent "2-D" art sets from LEGO have been seriously lacking and tries to do what LEGO is not (2D). This set brings what LEGO offers to a new motif...this one is classic, recognizable and very well done. If it takes off so many more possibilities in the "fine art" theme
