Bought a huge lot of assorted vintage/current sets. Some were partially built, and the bulk are just in pieces. Have color sorted and arranged the bigger pieces by type... lots of work left but have managed to build these beauties so far, missing a few figures unfortunately. started out in 2 giant dusty tubs10 points

Finished this last night. This is a 10/10 build for me. Absolutely no repetition, great building techniques, and looks outstanding in person. The buildings were the best part to build. Each had its own unique build style. Hats off to the designer for this one. A homerun. Sorry for the bad picture, just snapped a quick one as I came in the office.7 points

This is what shocks me the most...especially with the increases all around. 1500 pcs for $100 seems like a steal these days...5 points

Never can have enough toilets though. Lego seems to be on a poop fetish this past year with Lion nights Castle and Ninjango Markets both having poop featured as a play feature, and other sets having TP functionality like A-Frame Cabin. Not sure if there are more sets as well but I would think City and Friends perhaps. This has to be good for your TP side hustle I think the real story for this set is the price being maintained at $99 and the PPP.3 points

I always open a case when a buyer has ripped me off. If nothing else, I hope it leaves a paper trail on certain accounts.2 points
-
Unlikely you will get anything but what do you have to lose by opening a case? If you get rejected rate the experience and let it rip ( passive /aggressive ) and also don’t forget to report the buyer2 points

Took me a second to figure out what that actually is - thought it was a modded/broke down VW Bus at first glance 😂2 points

He has let himself down a few times in the past. To be fair to him, he seems to have realised this and has deleted the offending content. I'm prepared to cut him some slack on this as I would have been an idiot if I'd had his reach when I was younger. A teenager being a belligerent idiot isn't earth-shattering news.2 points

BINGO! Exactly. I have hated him ever since he did the "arm sweep" video against resellers about 5-6 years ago when he was guilty of the same actions in other videos. He's a very smarmy, polarizing person. But then again, he probably wouldn't like me either.2 points
-
He doesn't bother me. I probably watch his channel more often than any other. I like that his videos are only 10-15 minutes, very concise.2 points

why the hate for ryan, genuinely curious. to me hes by far the least nerdy of the reviewers and that translates to the most interesting presentation. i guess if you like the technical stuff maybe some of the other reviewers are better, but to me ryan covers the middle ground the best in terms of entertaining and evaluating, and no one knows close to as much as him about star wars specifically in the lego community2 points

He did a nice job with his review. Now I want one sooner, rather than later.2 points

Me too, but wow he got this from the airport kiosk across the world and built in under a week beating out all of the LAN people that got it for free before him.2 points

Yes you will get a full refund, We open a case for everyone one, Take a photo of the shipping label the item was returned in, The packing slip, The LPN sticker then the box and the contents, state the customer "Stole" the bags also use the report a violation and report buyer for theft. first you need to type that LPN into FBA customer returns to get the order number, Click the top left ladder and select, Reports, fullfillment, on the left look for Customer Concessions, fba customer returns, on that page you can enter the LPN, put date range like 90 days out report the customer here, https://sellercentral.amazon.com/abuse-submission/form/buyer-abuse-refund1 point

I got Next working through Ashlin Hadden (sp?). Never have to use them , knock on wood, but they have been cheaper than most. Been with them for 2+ years , before that I went through Amazon and the underwriting company cancelled the policy because I sell kids toys so whatever.1 point

Actually, there is a second (not including keychains or magnets): https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?M=sw0363&name=Nute Gunray - Orange Robe&category=[Star Wars][Star Wars Episode 3]#T=S&O={"iconly":0}1 point

New to me, I haven’t ordered boxes from Staples since last October and this was not an option, 40% off your first subscription order. I bumped it out to 6 months then it becomes only 10% so will just cancel. There is also a deal on tape that stacks with boxes but didn’t look into it.1 point

I enjoyed reading it. you should start your own YT channel.1 point

Isn’t that cute…he was just looking out for little Timmy. You don’t have to defend yourself on that front. If the store wants to sell and you want to buy, who gives a **** what anyone else thinks. I never gave it a second thought when I used to walk out of Walmart or Target with 4 cart loads of clearance.1 point

I can't find it. It's either buried too deep in all his other videos or he has deleted it but he did a highly critical video of fellow LEGO Youtubers doing "arm sweep" videos, where they go into a store and buy every clearance LEGO set available. He contended that you "had to leave some for the children." He ignores the fact that the very reason that the sets were on sale was because they had been sitting on the shelf, unsold, for a long while. He was particularly hard on Bricks On The Dollar, using footage from his videos, doing arm sweeps, and using the footage to condemn him for buying out the shelf and not leaving any "for the children." Meanwhile, he had many videos, both before and since, showing him buying out a store of certain set(s), but always with an excuse for doing so. First of all, this whole "for the children" concept is BS. As an adult, if I am not using unfair practices to get early access, any thing that I see on a shelf should be fair game. Kids have their whole life ahead of them to buy things that they want. As a senior citizen, I'm a hell of a lot closer to the end than the beginning. Why is their happiness more important than mine? Secondly, if it has been sitting there during a buying season and is now reduced, mothers have had their chance to buy the set for little Johnny. But, putting all of that aside, I can respect you if you disagree and have different beliefs. But what I can't respect is when you are a hypercritical SOB that whines about something while doing the exact same thing yourself. If this sound preachy then sue me. You asked.1 point

And the lack of LAN affiliation nowadays also goes a long way...1 point

He has matured some over the years but I still see him as a spoiled petulant brat that thinks Lego owes him something not the other way around. Not sure why @raindog doesn't care for him but I would reckon it is for similar reasons.1 point

A way too early retirement list direct from Lego: https://www.lego.com/en-us/categories/last-chance-to-buy I'd suspect these are sets they have too many of, or aren't moving at a good enough pace. Unload these on the FOMO buyers before the better retirements drop in November.1 point

If you built the original no real need for this one. There was only 2 places with new build techniques that were neat. They did change how you build the turrets but if you have built the Saturn V, which came out a year after the original castle, they used the exact same build which is fine but the same exact color elements although not visible they don’t blend in with this build. Those pieces are available in this color scheme so that seemed lazy to me. It was surprisingly missing a 1X4 Sand Blue brick that I had to build around until the replacement came, there was an extra gold dish piece that is used in the set but not in that bag, never had that happen before. I like the sand blue castle build but overall prefer the original visually.1 point

Looks like a much better entry to the line than last year's.1 point

I want in order: 1) Cloud City - 10188 style 2) Sandcrawler 3) Slave I 4) Tie Fighter After that, I would like to see remakes of the Star Destroyer and Snowspeeder since I don't have them. Obviously I'm an original trilogy guy since it's what I grew up with.1 point

I think a true minifig scale AT-AT would be superb. I guestimate it would be around 3,000-4000 pieces and cost around 300 of your american Dollars. It is in my opinion, the second best star wars machine (after the Falcon). I have seen a custom one on the net with instructions for sale and it looked very good.1 point
