  1. Got bored and started to look at the old Minifigure Series releases. I saw the King for the first time and instantly pulled the trigger on eBay. Something about this guy seemed oddly familiar, then I realized it was the exact same King I recently hugged at LEGOLAND (yes, I also hug the Ewoks at Disney when they make an appearance). I'm excited to go back to LEGOLAND this summer with this newfound knowledge because I believe everything there might be a replica of a set or Minifigure brought to life. How freaking cool is that! ps: I'm wondering if the Castle in the background of the photo on the right is a replica of an actual set?

  3. Your only option at this point is to reach out to Lego and ask them for the compliance documents. Dear Lego, I am writing you as I am having a difficult time selling some of your products on Amazon. I've purchased this set in vast quantities as it is better than gold, but Amazon is asking for compliance documents due to the fact that this set has a battery in it. Could you please provide me the compliance documents so that I can continue rolling in the money? Eternally grateful, yyyybird111 (VIP # 8675309)

  5. Not bubble wrap but, if you live near an actual (paper) newspaper office then almost all will sell you their paper end rolls for $1-2. There is a ton on plain white newspaper left on those tubes and make great dunnage when wadded up. Three rolls, like in the photo below, would last you hundreds, if not thousands, of packaging. Not bad for under $5. Many big Amazon resellers use these as it is so much cheaper than bubble wrap. Buy directly from the newspaper if you live near one. Many people buy up all they can and then mark them up to $10+ a roll online.

  9. I just built the Pantasy Bakery and was blown away by their presentation of parts, including, not a single sticker. All tran-clear windows in a separate bag, numerous printed tiles, quality of the pieces, etc. All that I could think of was "LEGO had better watch their ass!" It was a truly enjoyable build with parts that, while not perfect, was about as close to LEGO-quality that you could get. And this modular cost $82 compared to a $240 LEGO one. (I added the MILS plate - it's LEGO.)

  11. Thanks I agree the book is awesome and will probably preorder even though we don’t get anything for doing so but 1x vip points I am concerned about the 4 x sets running out before Tuesday at 12:00 am but not enough to buy any of them without getting the promos free if they are out I’ll order other stuff I need. I am hoping most everyone feels that way and if so it will still be available. I already have the AT AT and Mos Eisley so it’s whether I want another Mos Eisley or not and the other 4 x sets. I will go for the coin. If points post before the poster is out I will get one if not I will skip. Saw one poster bent on youtube this morning lol. Actually like Yoda says there is another it’s 1500 points look at brick fanatics for more info assume it is available in USA but that’s a guess : ) https://www.brickfanatics.com/lego-star-wars-may-the-4th-insiders-coin

  13. So I was going to put this in the "What Lego set did you build today" thread but since the build is on hold I decided to make a bigger complaint thread post about Stickers. I was building 76271 Batman: The Animated Series Gotham City. I purchased it to build because I like the 3D art sets and had pre-sold the minifgures for over half of the set cost to help offset this extremely overpriced set at $300. So, back to "why for such an expensive set can't they all be prints?" argument to which Lego replies that their is a cost per set formula based on how many sets they expect to produce/sell, the number of unique elements and other factors that determine whether it will be prints or stickers. So a $30 Creator set will get all printed parts because it will sell 10 Million copies while this set at $300 would need to sell 1 Million copies to get all prints but say it will only sell 500K so it gets stickers. Seeing what Pantasy is doing, I know @Captain_Obvious there he goes pumping his other side hustle, with all printed elements, Lego can afford to do the same as well or perhaps come up with some alternative option like Jang suggests in the YouTube clip. For the Premium price we are now paying for these Adult sets they should at least get the stickers right and they continue to not. Gringotts Wizarding Bank – Collectors' Edition: the stickers are abysmal especially for a $429 "Collectors' Edition" the off-center Name Plate that you have to cut yourself or display as is, is a major fail. The Orient Express Train: $299 and the stickers were the wrong color, yellow instead of gold, and had misspellings of cities. So you had to get a replacement set. Batman: The Animated Series Gotham City: $299 has 67 stickers and besides being off-center the color on the initial production run was either off or they ran out of ink. See the pictures of what was sent out light grey compared to how they should look, Black. I contacted Lego and of course they are out of the updated stickers but should have more within a month so hopefully I can get back to the build. Finally, BMW M4 GT3 & BMW M Hybrid V8 Race Cars, see Jang clip for more, but the SC product line lead designer stated previously that they learned their lesson from the Toyota Supra with doing stickered elements across 3 parts and would switch to prints the following year which they did, but now are back to stickers some that have to be aligned across all 8 studs of the build. Come on Lego you need to up your sticker game for the price of these sets. One last thing, if you are still with me, just an FYI they changed the piece count on Cherry Blossoms from 438 to 430, but it has no stickers 13:10 for a good alternative sticker option:

  18. The poster is almost guaranteed to arrive damaged. I have seen 2 LAN members post theirs on insta one was beyond repair. The book looks top notch quality and has lots of premium add ons but $150 is steep. If it just had an exclusive awesome minifigure. https://brickset.com/article/109472/review-lego-star-wars-the-force-of-creativity The big deal sets go on sale the day before the GWPs so will be interesting to see if they are still in stock to get the maximum stack.

  22. Youtube. I probably speed more time on it than a normal person. I don't recall the channel but it wasn't M&R. At 63 years, my insomnia has really gotten out of hand and I usually line up about 2-3 hours worth of YT to watch. Right after Highlander on HandI. The thing is, at that time, I was such a LEGO snob that, if LEGO had it at 3x price, I would have purchased the LEGO. Still, there is one thing that I won't support. If Pantasy would copy someone else's IP then I wouldn't support that at all. Both are better than LEGO IMHO but I still don't understand the clear glass bathroom door. I could have easily replaced it but I care more about the exterior than the interior. But I loved Pantasy's attention to detail, like the tilting menu boards, drainpipe, pigeon coop, etc.

  28. I know Jang has reviewed quite a few other brands, lots of Mega Halo stuff. I do appreciate him calling Lego out this whole time given their asking prices. I doubt these sets will convince Lego to print more of their elements, but we can hope. From what you're saying, it sounds like if they have a set that fills a void, it is a viable alternative to Lego, but Lego would still be preferred if cost wasn't a factor. I wonder if that Lego joy will ever fade for some of us, or if younger people will even develop it.

  30. Not sure if that adjective is based on experience? Everything I've read on online forums indicates the same as pseudoty. GoBricks is very high quality. The rise of the clones is an extremely important event in the Lego world and needs to be covered far more comprehensively, if anything. It's unusual even for a dominant player in any given consumer category to have such a monopolistic stranglehold; perhaps this is the beginning of the end of that. I find it interesting that Mega has come up with some worth lego level designs, but their bricks arent up to snuff. Pantasy on the other hand to me seems perhaps the opposite. Great bricks but not loving the designs.

  36. LOL Jang lost his loyalty to LEGO when LEGO removed his reviews of sets that were released early in EU (but not yet in US). This was what, 5 years ago ? Having said that, if the brick company holds official license from the IP owners, it should not be classified as knock off brand. 🤷‍♂️ Looking at CADA website, I am tempted to buy this Trueno from Initial D anime. https://decadastore.com/products/initial-d-toyata-trueno-ae86-c61024w

  39. yea the mocs and original design are safe but many (most?) of the myriad of KO Flego companies crank out both. I'd wager most of the $$$ amount of flego bought is going towards illegal replicas... Lego legal probably doesnt feel its worth their time but with the economy plateauing and lego income post peak, they may well start to crack down. In fact, I'm extremely surprised they haven't already given the blatant and widespread availability of the clones. Begun, the clone wars have...
