  3. Finally got around to building the Endurance. Picked away at it for a week in the evening. Great set.
  4. Now this one has some potential
  5. The new Tudor Corner is a great set. I wouldn't say the build experience was particularly revolutionary or special, but the final outcome is quite impressive!
  6. Sourced these through a local FB bulk lot purchase. 3 of about 30 80’s 90’s sets.
  7. Finally cut the seals on one of my BL Designer sets. Had a great time building Brick Cross station, but I would have gladly spent extra for printed pieces and instructions. Oddly enough, as I was on the last steps, my Tudor Corner ordered on 1 Jan arrived at the door.
  8. Set of the Year for me by far! The only set that was even close in comparison, but still a very distant second, was Snow Whites Cottage and then Batman Skyline coming in third. I have a lot of 2024 sets yet to build, the Endurance will be next then D&D, Medieval Town Square and Milky Way eventually. This is the set stock but I have 2 BL orders and a PAB arriving next week to enhance it some. The build was fast and fun and I couldn’t wait to work on it. It just looks so beautiful in person. Use gloves when handling the window elements. The 5 stickers are all on the inside and not front facing so you don’t really see them in the finished build. 12 minifigures and 5 animals. At this price or even at 20% off not an “investment” set at all. Build: 9.5 Play: 7 Display: 9 Value: 6
  9. I ended up just initiating a refund and that basically worked the same as cancelling and everything seems to be sorted out. So the guy that did this ended up doing it again to me on a different set. I did not ship the second set before the cancellation request came in so I was able to cancel after the fruitcake finally made up his mind. The first two images are from the first transaction the third image is from the second. I knew the guy was a little antsy so I didn't cancel immediately, I should have let it go all night to see how many messages he would have sent. I added him to my blocked list after I set the last message. Second transaction, he submitted a cancellation request and then sent this message.
  10. As a lifelong fan of Gremlins/Gizmo back as a child from the 80's i love this set Ideas: 21361 Gremlins Gizmo (Source: Official Images)
  11. Motorized Lighthouse. Great build!
  12. Looks like I am over this whole LEGO is better than gold thing. When I see a collection of dioramas marked as UCS, all I can say is "meh"
  13. I don’t collect the helmets and the AT-AT driver was my first and will be my only. I think it looks cool. Stickers suck. Mainly got it to go with my UCS AT-AT.

  15. Wrapped up this one today. Such a great set and perfect addition to my Pirates collection.
  16. I've been picking away at this over the past couple of weeks. No rush, just enjoying the build. Now I have to find a place to display/store it! Overall a great build, highly recommended.

  20. BLDP Harbormaster's Office. Went together very smooth; better than most BLDP sets. Will be a nice companion to the Ideas Old Fishing Store.
  21. @airhanny We appreciate your posts but if you will look for the number that looks like this in your url, and cut everything past it, not only will your urls look cleaner but it will also strip away most tracking info. becomes https://www.amazon.com/LEGO-City-Garage-Mercedes-AMG-Alpine/dp/B0DJ1CC7YZ which works as well.
  22. This is going to be so hard resisting all these deals the next couple months. It's ingrained in me. Then I just need to go through all my stranded inventory, no-buy box listings and suppressed, and read through the constant threats to end me, to strengthen my resolve.
  23. Mail call today. All for my personal collection.
  24. Looks like it’s going to be a good day tomorrow, looking forward to finally getting this at a deep discount.

New Feature Castle Battle Packs. You can edit the bundle order to change faces, weapons and other elements.
  26. I will say the art on the side of the box here is absolutely f**king awesome. Seriously, damn. Frame that and put it on the wall.
  27. I did not hold any expectations aside from being large. It is neat for a possibly wall mounted collection of dioramas ....that we kind of already have from over the years individually. This is the sort of build I might expect to see at a Brickfair as a habitat showcasing all the well-known scenes of the Death Star within the homage of one. I wonder what the backside looks like. Also, where is the hot tub at? Haha. At least it is different from the previous iterations ....while simultaneously doing the same thing. I am certainly not the market for this (and still a cheap ass penny pinching son of a brick). It's okay, just not for me.
  28. https://home.woot.com/offers/lego-star-wars-venator-class-republic-attack-cruiser-5-374-pcs-2 Venerator 75367. 19% off. Max 3. Buy 4 unique items (just grab 3 funkos) for another 21% off at checkout. Honey offering $50 off of one, as well. Won't last long.
  29. Decided to grab my 3 missing modular before the tariffs hit. Got each for slightly below market value - paid $2.2k before taxes, including a whole lot of replacement parts for yellowing. The Green Grocer had all the white very yellowed which I replaced. A lot of LBG parts were yellowed too, but most I could place in such a way that it wasn't visible from the outside. For Market Street there was minor yellowing on the white, but almost all the light blue had severely yellowed. I was again able to turn the bricks in such a way that it wasn't noticeable. Surprisingly, Cafe Corner was pristine. I now have all the Modulars (but not all of them built yet). That's next on the list. People say these early modulars are not as fun to build as the newer ones, but I had a blast doing this. Probably fueled by the fact that sometimes you are holding a $30 part, or a handful of rare slopes at $3 each. Guess that's the investor in me ;-) Sent from my SM-A326U1 using Tapatalk
  30. Built this with one of my kids. Overall a fun build and more interesting than expected. We only paid $75, so it was worth giving it a shot, despite the lackluster reviews. Might get a light kit...
  31. Last set of the year, The Endurance, and yes you are going to need endurance to build this ship. This build is not for the faint of heart. 28 bags including my first ever paper bag containing the sails, no stickers, 3 different prints (2 exclusive to this set) and NO minifigures. You begin by building a temporary stand, not the display stand, at a glib attempt to add stability to the set that isn’t really obtained until you reach bag 19. At this point you will want to clean all of the black elements that will be covered with fingerprints because the entire set is sideways SNOT built, no eating Chic-fil-A during this build. The hull is comprised of large curved panels, not bricks, making for a flimsy hollow build. The deck and stairs, also sideways SNOT built, look great as does the engine and captains quarters, which are all removable, and finally the build becomes fun. Only to be followed by the supply boats, not “lifeboats”, which are designed poorly and are tedious to get just right. By the time I got to the sails and rigging I needed a day off and just wanted to finally be done with this thing. The finished set looks amazing and it is one of the few sets that deserves one of those Limited Edition Wicked Brick display cases. Not sure if I will open up one of my Shackleton’s Lifeboat GWPs to display with it. This set is a ship of two tales, the build, only major ships worse: Maersk EEE, the stickers, and The Silent Mary the build. Display, only major ships better than the Endurance are the Sea Cow still #1 in my book and then the Titanic. Endurance is even better than the Imperial Flagship so don’t think I hate it just wasn’t much fun especially following the Botanical Garden that I look forward to getting back to. Build: 6 Play: 7 Display: 9 Value: 7
  32. Not a deal, so apologies, but for honey users, an interesting expo that aligns with my own experience. Glad someone finally put something out like this about this company. Wouldn’t be surprised if the other similar companies operate the same way:

  34. Saw this hilarious post on FB today: RETIRED HUSBAND After I retired, my wife insisted that I accompany her on her trips to Target. Unfortunately, like most men, I found shopping boring and preferred to get in and get out. Equally unfortunate, my wife is like most women - she loves to browse. Yesterday my dear wife received the following letter from the local Target: Dear Mrs. Harris, Over the past six months, your husband has caused quite a commotion in our store. We cannot tolerate this behavior and have been forced to ban both of you from the store. Our complaints against your husband, Mr. Harris, are listed below and are documented by our video surveillance cameras: 1. June 15: He took 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in other people's carts when they weren't looking. 2. July 2: Set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go off at 5-minute intervals. 3. July 7: He made a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to the women's restroom. 4. July 19: Walked up to an employee and told her in an official voice, 'Code 3 in Housewares. Get on it right away'. This caused the employee to leave her assigned station and receive a reprimand from her Supervisor that in turn resulted with a union grievance, causing management to lose time and costing the company money. 5. August 4: Went to the Service Desk and tried to put a bag of M&Ms on layaway. 6. August 14: Moved a 'CAUTION - WET FLOOR' sign to a carpeted area. 7. August 15: Set up a tent in the camping department and told the children shoppers he'd invite them in if they would bring pillows and blankets from the bedding department to which twenty children obliged. 8. August 23: When a clerk asked if they could help him he began crying and screamed, 'Why can't you people just leave me alone?' EMTs were called. 9.. September 4: Looked right into the security camera and used it as a mirror while he picked his nose. 10. September 10: While handling guns in the hunting department, he asked the clerk where the antidepressants were. 11. October 3: Darted around the store suspiciously while loudly humming the ' Mission Impossible' theme. 12. October 6: In the auto department, he practiced his 'Madonna look' by using different sizes of funnels. 13. October 18: Hid in a clothing rack and when people browsed through, yelled 'PICK ME! PICK ME!' 14. October 21: When an announcement came over the loud speaker, he assumed a fetal position and screamed 'OH NO! IT'S THOSE VOICES AGAIN!' And last, but not least: 15. October 23: Went into a fitting room, shut the door, waited awhile, then yelled very loudly, 'Hey! There's no toilet paper in here.' One of the clerks passed out.
  35. Disney Promo: 40774 Classic Animation Scenes gift-with-purchase, currently said to be a $130 threshold on all themes starting late October. (via a Brick Tap source)
  36. That's fine. Opinions vary. It represents what is fun about Lego that is lost on the SW fanbois and resellers. By far the best Star Wars set of the year and it will be a fun decoration next to my UCS AT-AT.
  37. Long weekend project. Great set, despite just being a box.
  38. It is busy but that room was crazy packed with candy/sweets goodness! I think the set actually looks good and captures that scene very well.
  39. I knocked these builds out over the last two days...initially started building the Icons Lighthouse, but the motor was DOA and waiting for a replacement to be delivered by Lego. I hope they make more of these dino scull fossils.
  40. Death Star, Enterprise and Black Pearl coming soon
  41. Kohls has 25ish sets for 40% off. I also had a $10 promotional Kohls Cash in my account for Cyber Week that worked on Lego. Picked up the Boarding the Tantive IV set for $23.
  42. Welcome to Lego 2025....If you think that's bad look at the X-Men X-Jet as well as others that are way overpriced

  45. NGL, I get it. I've had less than ideal experiences with best buy, but lately they've actually done a decent job. I posted mostly to let other know it might be worth it for you if this is a set you were wanting, for personal use or investing.
