It looks like it could be a future Architecture set. 1 Quote
TheOrcKing Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 It seems fairly legitimate. I downloaded the PDF file, scrolled down to the page with the set, and zoomed in. It does have the printed name tile at the base. Well, at least it looks better than the Marina Bay Sands one although that isn't saying much really. Quote
MartinP Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 To me, the set looks good for being so small, and still having a lot of details. Quote
srm_520 Posted October 25, 2013 Author Posted October 25, 2013 If Hoth Bricks is right - it looks like it could be 321 pieces, so that would be a nice middle size set in this line. Right on par with Big Ben but taller. Quote
Guest TabbyBoy Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 This looks genuine to me and actually one I would buy. Will that mean a Taj Mahal and Tower Bridge on the way too? Quote
TheDarkness Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 This looks genuine to me and actually one I would buy. Will that mean a Taj Mahal and Tower Bridge on the way too? I agree with this. Some of the Architecture line have looked rather ordinary, however this one looks far better. Quote
superbrickman Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 I hope this one makes it! Also, one for the Taj Mahal would be sweet, since a MOC I've been working on is still a work in progress Quote
derbrick Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Avaliable online now at http://www.lebonmarche.com/produit/44802_la-tour-eiffel.html Quote
Guest TabbyBoy Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 I'm waiting to see how well the rest of the range performs and I'll then know how many to buy. I'll certainly get one to build. Quote
TheOrcKing Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 I don't know how but someone on Eurobricks has already done a review about the Eiffel Tower Architecture set! Quote
@rtisan Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 It looks quite good! Perfect for those who can`t afford/don`t wish to spend the money on the full sized model. Everyone wants a little taste of Paris. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FpoyshqB8-o Quote
MartinP Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Anyone know when the set will be released? After reading the review, I want one of these. Quote
citymorgue Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 I remember seeing somewhere Lego actually officially announced the set, but I can't for the life of me remember when or where I saw this. I'm sure it will be early sometime next year. I personally am not that big of a fan of the architecture series, but my wife loves it. I bought her the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the White house. Put together, it's a interesting little set. I don't mind them too much, and this definitely has some appeal. I'm sure I will buy this soon enough so the wife can add to her collection lol. Quote

Do you know how jealous I am of you? I would give two Tower Bridges and R2-D2 to hear that my wife loves the architecture series! Hers is more of a - ahh, Lego is okay - I'll tolerate your addiction... Quote

Hers is more of a - ahh, Lego is okay - I'll tolerate your addiction... DEAL! I'll PM you my address so you can send over those sets and I'll have my wife convince yours that Lego is awesome! haha I have both Tower Bridge and R2D2, and even she thinks they are awesome sauce. I've also got her into modulars as well. We have Palace Cinema, Pet Shop, Grand Emporium, and Fire Brigade. I was honestly somewhat surprised to see her get into it like me. Best of wishes. Hopefully your wife will come around. 1 Quote
jayteef Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 I am hoping the rumors are true and this set is released in January. Really like this one and look forward to adding it to my Architecture collection. Quote

I will wait for some discounts on the set before I buy it. Quote
Jojoyojimbi Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 you should get the older one, it's friggin HUGE and a pretty nifty build, though I don't recommend it if you have cats, it's fragile as all hell 1 Quote

Maybe one day I will bite the bullet. I do like the larger scale models though. Quote

Maybe I can bricklink the set one day so I can have the set. Quote

Maybe I can bricklink the set one day so I can have the set. Can we order pieces specific to a set using the brick link database (and not by looking up each piece)? I'd love to brick link the Taj Mahal and Eiffel Tower (I regret not buying them before as a college student on a budget), better that than buying used. But the time spent is important, so an upload of the parts list and direct links to where to buy from would be great. Does this exist? Any other pointers? Quote
Quacs Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 I believe you would have to go to the inventory page of the set in question and add each piece in the correct quantity to your Wanted List. Then search the Bricklink stores by "unique lot" for the stores that have the most pieces available, and commence ordering! The longest part of this effort would be to add the pieces to your inventory. Literally, you have to go piece type by piece type and add the correct quantity of each to your Wanted List. Very tedious for an almost 6,000 piece set. Quote
