KvHulk Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago (edited) Did you accept the return or did the buyer file a SNAD? If you accept the return then when you get it back you can offer a partial refund, minus shipping both ways, item condition, etc. If the buyer cries and whines and leaves negative feedback eBay will automatically remove the neg feedback and side with you. If the buyer filed a SNAD, you are **** out of luck. eBay will always side with the buyer and now you automatically have to eat shipping both ways, refund in full and not only can the buyer leave negative feedback but there is nothing you, the seller, can do about it. tasiatunes Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I contacted the buyer stating he signed for the item.Did not have to accept it and if it is damaged to file a claim with the USPS.The item is being returned but is being shipped out of Minnesota.I had shipped the item to Los Angeles. There is fraud, but your right Ebay will still side with the buyer.Going to sell the rest of my inventory and get off Ebay too many scammers and supported fraud by Ebay. The weight of the page is more than what I sent. So all the posts about getting signed delivery, different weight of the item returned, photo of damaged return item, or a good one once the item is delivered its not the sellers problem are all false.I have been selling Ebay 20 years and have heard about all the fraud.Fortunate to avoid most of it till now on an expensive set.Through the years Ebay for 99%will side with the buyer.I am a top rated seller so it can happened to anyone.I had called the Ebay rep before shipping. She thought it was dubious but since it was paid for ship.If I did not ship Ebay would still charge a final value fee. I have known a number of sellers leave Ebay. Quote

One buyer shouldn’t ruin 20 years of a business. i deal with that stuff every week on amazon. Water off a ducks’s back at this point 2 Quote

Better to lose $100 in fees vs $700+item. And if you think eBay is bad, do yourself a favor and never sell on Amazon Quote

And if you think eBay is bad, do yourself a favor and never sell on Amazon One more thing as a 25 year lifelong ebay seller who sells many things besides lego....If at all possible do buy it now/best offer auctions....If someone with 0 or very low (And in your case suspicious) feedback sends you an offer and if you don't feel comfortable dealing with that person you can just decline the offer and block if so desired...Running things auction style almost anyone can bid and buy your auctions regardless of their feedback And if someone uses buy it now and pays for the item if you ever want to cancel a sale always choose the option "Issue With Buyers Shipping Address"....That's always been my go to for when dealing with someone whom i don't want to deal with....And of course blocking them afterwards Just my 2 cents....Carry on everyone and have a great weekend Quote
tasiatunes Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Thanks for that advice.Does using "issue with buyers address" work? If it does I will use that in the future. If I canceled the order any other way Ebay would still charge me a final value fee in this case over $150. I sold this as buy now not as an auction. I will never sell on Amazon. Quote
tasiatunes Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I really am posting this for other sellers to be aware.I have seen posts of if it signed for its not your problem, once its delivered your covered, do not accept returns, photo and video everything, the weight is different returned than it was when sold.In this instance the Lego returned is being shipped from Minnesota not California where it was delivered. So no matter what you do the seller loses most of the time.It just frustrating as seller to have to deal with the scammers. But just move on.I will post pictures of the returned item. 1 Quote
