An intro from Wisconsin...

Recommended Posts

Hi all, My name is Matt. I've been a toy collector since '97ish as an adult. I've gone through everything from Star Wars action figs, McFarlane football, Palisade's Muppets line, WWE Classic figures, to Pixar Cars diecasts. I've been enjoying collecting with my kids' for almost 10 years and they've always been LEGO fans. However, due to life changes, I'm eager to get back into collecting and using my "buy low sell high" skills to get some secondary income. My kids collected sets for years, but most of them have been reduced to being thrown in the "plastic bins of seclusion" as individual pieces. :) They continue to pull set build guides from time to time and reconstruct them so that's cool. We're also addicted to the Collectible Minis...they're fun and I've used bricklink.com to grab pieces to make these cool "tiered" display stands for each of the 16 in each series. The stands are color-coded to match the packaging color so it looks pretty sweet. BrickPicker.com is a great reference site. When main articles aren't posted as frequent, I visit these forums. So, I wanted to say hello and that you can count on me to let the world know how things in the state of WI are playing out investment-wise with LEGOs. Recent good news/bad news moment yesterday...I called a local TRU and the girl located 6 Minecraft sets (21102) for me in a TRU out of state. She was great and said she'd call the store on the other line, take my credit card over the phone, and ship them to my house. I'm all jacked up at this point. Well she has the store physically locate them and the 6 in their inventory are all gone. Nice huh! Ah well! Take care, Matt
