Any bad batch new sets rumored? The shuttle will do very nicely if there are no remakes, but its seems impossible that no minifigs at least would be reissued.

  • I think Lego is stuck in a tough place right now because they don't have any new-ish material to use for desirable sets.  It's one of the many kick-in-the-gonads that was the the sequel trilogy.  Out

Not on that list?

75399 Micro Scale Jedi Temple $169 which if similar to Hogwarts Castle and Grounds could be amazing. The inclusion of 1 minifigure (Yaddle) and the price makes me think it will be similar in design.

75383: $70 Sith Infiltrator - Maul, Padme, Qui-Gon, Panaka
75385: $40-50 Battle on Perida (382 Pieces) - Ahsoka, Ezra, Thrawn, Enoch, Morgan
75393: $110 X-Wing and TIE Fighter (1058 Pieces)
75394: $??? Death Star Playset - Darth Vader, 2x Stormtrooper, 3x Imperial Crew, 3x Death Star Trooper, 2x Imperial Officers, Cal Kestis
75396: $90 Escape from the Sarlacc (558 Pieces) - Han, Chewbacca, Lando, Boba, pirates
75398: $150 Buildable C-3PO

  • Added rumored prices.
  • $170 "Dark Millennium Falcon" w/ White Darth Vader, Dark Rey, Gungan (Darth Jar Jar?), Evil C-3PO & Chewy, and maybe another figure.
  • $40 "Jedi Bob's Starfighter" w/ Jedi Bob and likely another figure.
  • X-Wing & Tie set has the "cursed" gimmick where you can swap the wings.
  • The Death Star playset was originally rumored to be $199.99 but that was quickly dispelled by more seasoned leakers who also said the minifigure lineup is far too generous. There are still conflicting reports but it seems to be $100 +/- $20.
  • The 2024 Advent Calendar is expected to have the T-6 Ahsoka, 501st Clone, SBD, and (Holiday?) Luke & Leia (and maybe there is another).

retired x-wings still sell well even though they are guarranteed remakes.  $115 price point helps too

It doesn't hurt that General Dodonna only appears in one other set, and it's horrifically ugly with a terrible price point.

Spoiler is going to extend your screen some.

Your best bet is the Jedi Bob starfighter. I'm sure like the Galaxy Explorer, it will have unlimited secondary market consumers and definitely not be deeply clearanced once all those who actually want it buy their copy.

Does this mean the Bad Batch shuttle is safe from any remakes of figs and ship?

Trying to figure out if its safe to hold another

I like what LEGO is doing by playing around scale

like they have MF scale for iconic scenes and shrink the ship or building for easier (cheaper) display...by flipping the scales for remakes every 2-3 years it keeps the content fresh and as a reseller, it's nice to have contemporary reminders (and not competition) of bigger retired sets.

Boarding set:

I'm interested to see how the Tantive IV boarding set will connect to each other.  Will the hallway just be double the length?  Will it connect to the side door?  Will there be alternate instructions to build out a double wall version?  I hope the last, I think it would look good in a bookcase.

Darth Malak:

Echoing Darth Malak with the R2 set.  I assume his price alone on the secondary market will be close to the cost of the set itself.  Does he have a tie to 25 years?  I thought he was introduced in a video game in 2003.

I will probably buy both, I don't have any version of a buildable R2-D2 yet.

Do we know which sets will be 25th anniversary themed sets with the extra figure?  I am only tracking two so far.

75379 Buildable R2D2 with Darth Malak

75387 Tantive IV boarding with Fives

These are the only two I'm aware of so far.

Can't wait. Prices?

What?  We don't need no stinking prices!   It's Lego after all.  No price is too high if the set is cool enough 😀
