New BrickPicker Contest?

Anyone have any guesses on the next BrickPoints Contest? I am going to guess that the prize is going to be eithe a LEGO Shop at Home giftcard or one of the following:

- 10228 Haunted House

- 10224 Town Hall

- 10225 UCS R2-D2

- 8110 Unimog

- 10227 UCS B-Wing

- 10232 Palace Cinema

Based on the results that Ed got from the survey on a "Hypothetical Contest", looks like the Gift Card is the most popular, though it would pose a couple difficulties, as we also have many international members here who have inflated set costs (I feel for you guys! :P). You can see that thread HERE.

We will get the to know the actual contest tomorrow, April 1st, which also happens to be April Fool's Day. Any correspondance there folks? Lol. I know the the Macks wouldn't trick us like that, right? xD

If I personally had to guess, I would say that the contest has something to do with the new update(s) for BrickPicker. As we don't even know what that is, this is all speculation, just like the EOL dates of sets!

Having posted over 100 reviews on a disc golf site I use - I can tell you one of the most helpful things is that they have set up a dashboard that has your reviews listed. Then, you can go back and edit or even delete your reviews when needed. It's a useful feature because then I can track my reviews, track other users reviews, and edit when needed all in a convenient simple to use format. Having said that - I like the detailed standards of a review that look to be set in place to make sure that all reviews meet a certain criteria - I wish they would do that there, but as far as usability and set up, it's pretty good. www.dgcoursereview.com if you are interested in looking at the review feature and more importantly the dashboard feature. There are like over 30,000 reviews on that site now, but only just over 500 - it seems like the perfect time to redesign this feature to make it more prevalent, and make people want to review. BTW - agreed on the excitement factor! This is going to be fun!

Should we just email you articles Ed, that could work maybe as evaluation corner ones?

You've done over a hundred reviews for that site?

Quite the notch on your belt. You have some serious writing skills!

Well, that has been over a four year period, but I do enjoy writing opinions and giving an analysis on things I enjoy. However, because I have done so much for the other site over a long period of time - I think it affords me an good perspective of a user based review section and how it can ultimately benefit and be a driving force to site expansion.

In the little time I have been a member here - it seems that Jeff and Ed are on top of their game and have produced a quality product, and I think it would benefit them greatly to pick the mind of TimG - the creator of Dgcoursereview since the reviewing process has been his focus for half a decade. Besides, the parallels are cool - normal dude/s creating a site from scratch on a passion of theirs and then watching it flourish. It very impressive to watch unfold.
