no matter how much you push the envelope, it's still stationary

Even though you were sprinting back & forth between the bed, doors and closet, indeed it still was all in one spot (this time a kid's bedroom). The animatronics designs were more nightmarish than the prior sequels though so I will give this game that. The whole storyline continues to be questionably confusing. In any case watching people's reactions like Markiplier are the best part. Haha.

Since there is no LEGO poetry thread (and probably not much demand for something like that), I'll just post my "LEGO investing poem" right here.

LEGO investing poem

I can't believe T1's got a new box.
Even that 5-year-old TB still rocks.
This EOL chaos is just like the pox.
Still investing's the only way funding my MOCs.

You can never be sure about LEGO's stocks.
The ban hammer looming is giving me shocks.
You wanna invest? Then be smart like a fox!
And remember that no one can turn back the clocks.

Reissues surely do knock off my socks.
Chill out! There will always be folks into blocks.
In the end you can still join the quick-flipping jocks,
or shift all your money into Playmobil.

need to check if they are the same size.   might not be according to brickset.  bricklink still doesnt have the parts list.  however. it might be the one from the 10226 Sopwith Camel set... looks like they come in 3 sizes at least (4x4 which is Poe's size).

one from the x-wing sets...

Rubber Belt Small (Round Cross Section) - Approx. 2 x 2

Just came across this interesting, if long article about the issues affecting this set.

Aborted Take Off for X-Wing Fighter

Lego and Disney Star Wars - two iconic brands seemingly joined at the hip. Lego has just released an assortment of new sets that will feature in the iconic “The Force Awakens” film. One such set – 75102 Poe´s X-Wing Fighter, has had a troubled launch and here´s the inside story on why.

In late 2014, Lego received confidential sketches from Disney Corporation on which their designers were asked to base the new models. The iconic X-Wing model was to be dark blue and had been given the call sign “Blue Monday” in the film.

However, unbeknown to Disney Corporation, whose staff are all under the age of 25, this was actually the title of a song by the iconic 80´s English group, New Order, who, having registered the title as a trademark, demanded a royalty for using it. Paying for the use of royalties being an alien concept to them, Disney Corporation decided to simply change the call sign of the iconic ship.

Unfortunately, all the other day based call signs they could think of were taken (Shrove Tuesday, All you can eat Wednesday, Throwback Thursday, Black Friday, Raspberry Sundae) so they eventually settled on naming the iconic ship after Po – one of the stars of the iconic UK TV series, The Teletubbies (a favorite of Star Wars film director J.J. Abrams and a source of inspiration for dialogue in the new film). The transformation was completed by adding an E to the name to avoid copyright claims and repainting the iconic  craft orange and black so as not to clash with the colors of any Teletubbies.

This change took place in mid 2015, by which time The Lego Group (TLG) had already received a bulk consignment of 26 million blue elastic bands from the China based Lucky Rubber Concern (LRC) to engage the iconic ship´s iconic moveable wing configuration. When TLG requested the order be substituted for another color of band, they were informed by a LRC customer service agent, “You open box, you no return”.

With worldwide launch of Star Wars merchandising on 4th September looming, the only solution was to  ship out, as was and put a large rotating knob on the roof to distract attention.

The noticeable blue elastic bands were poorly received by some of the first customers but, typical of the ingenuity of the adult Lego community, a workaround solution was found. By coincidence, Apple had included the same type of elastic band in their iconic new iPhone 6S charger packaging so by purchasing 2 iPhones, X-wing owners were able to obtain two white bands that would fit in much better with the orange color scheme.

Problems with the X-Wing were not over for TLG, however. Many members of the marketing department had returned from summer vacation, unaware of the change in the color scheme of the iconic ship and when they saw the pictures of the repainted model, assumed it was just another new product to launch (Editorial Note: to date TLG has released 47 iconic iterations of the X Wing) and started work on a campaign the new version. When the mistake became clear, they had lost so much time that they had completely forgotten about searching for offensive children´s taunts on Google as bylines for the next wave of the iconic Mixels range.

The final body blow for TLG came a few days after launch, when the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) , highlighted a possibly deadly design flaw on the craft. Following criticism from customers about the difficulty cack-handed Lego interns had in applying stickers to the cockpit canopy on previous versions used in designer videos, TLG had decided to implement a printed cockpit section. However, some parts were badly molded, creating a small gap between the canopy and ship fairing. During one early flight,  a case of cabin depressurization occurred, causing a Lego minifigure to be sucked out of the cockpit. Fortunately, it landed on a cushion and was unharmed. TLG immediately issued a recall for the product to replace the canopy and in the meantime the NTSB issued guidelines to all parents to supervise that dangerous hot dogging maneuvers like loops or banking at more than 45º be avoided.

It would, however, seem that none of these issues have had an impact on sales of the new X- Wing, which is expected to be one of the best-selling fighter planes this iconic Christmas.

I´ll be back next week with a blog article examining the uneasy tension in TLG´s Christmas village where property investors are concerned about the group´s plans to build a second toy shop in the village on the plot where they had been expecting public amenities to be constructed and the possible negative economic impact on the co-operative that had invested heavily in the town´s existing toy shop.

someone clearly has too free much on their hands :)  actually, a little fun is cool  but this post can quickly detail the 'true' topic of this thread. please keep to the topic (the set itself).  .

if needed, one of the mods can get approval from jeff or ed for starting a "creative writing" section of this web site.  wait, we kinda have it already, Blogs.  :)

note: i did find your "quote" for the refund / exchange refusal just funny although it's 100% not P.C in this era.
