I cancelled my Asda orders for 100x Duplo Jungles so there should be more stock if anybody is interested. My contact got 50x for £8 each last week! I also can't be bothered to buy new sized boxes for online selling. If the set was just 1cm narrower, I'd have kept them.

Sometimes even 60% off ain't enough! Anything else I saw on George would've been as cheap or cheaper down the line. Star Wars and Friends Hospital even at 50% off is too risky.

Tesco let us all down.... again! It looks like somebody on HUKD didn't get their facts right. It's worth keeping an eye on Asda as there's other sets that could do with a good laxative!

Too soon for Tesco to have a 3 for 2 after the last one. When they are too frequent, they lose the impact.

As its payday weekend, Tesco are hoping to shift a few at current prices. Then I think we'll start to see some clearance prices.

I missed Asda, apart from buying a few more Frozen Junior sets at £9! On the earlier jungle theme, 60161 looks good value at £40 (Amazon, 53% off),

Thanks, I bought 2x 60161 just now for Xmas presents. I didn't buy from Asda as I want the other order 100% cancelled first. You're right, I also think there'll be some bargains soon.

I have a friend who parts out. He tells me the jungle animals do well.

Be my guest, they'll be back in stock soon. If you call them, they may be able to reserve ;-)

Sorry, I meant the jungle animals from City Jungle range parts out well. I have no idea what he thinks about Duplo animals!!!

LOL, I admit that I was a bit surprised. I was thinking about ordering  more CITY Jungles along with Cargo Terminals, but there's a long QFLL wait before selling. Unfortunately not cheap enough for me to shift as a job lot.

I have one early night because I'm up very early for work, then whilst I'm asleep some crazy ASDA offer emerges. I wake up and all of the very good stuff is already gone. Nothing else to see there really. Some good offers were had by some though obviously. Nice one :)

There's still some money left on the table at Asda....

I took it easy too. Some great deals on big sets but storing them and posting them can be a pain.

Picked up a few Duplo Jungles before Tabbyboy cleared them out, Air Race Jet for personal build and some Friends Stephanies Houses but I mistakenly thought it was retiring this year so they'll probably get cancelled.

Very disappointed about the non existant Tesco 3 for 2, i'm sure the HUKD lot are busy burning the OP of that one wickerman style.

Tesco had deals around the 14th/15th last year, I can’t remember if it was 3/2 or something else.  Could be the date was just wrong.

Yes, that makes more sense as there is a gap to BF and they will know if they have overstocked or not. If not, there´s always post Xmas clearance to look forward to it.

To quote Ronnie Corbett, "I remember the day very well - it was the only day there was no sale on at Allied Carpets."

its only been out 6 months so likely won't retire til June'19

LOL - I thought that too as soon as I woke up later this morning and compared it to the Deep Sea ship which ain't doing too good and struggling to reach RRP after fees. So, more orders cancelled! The 10804 Duplo Jungle was an "out of the box" choice, but just 1cm to wide for my free boxes and cheaper postage so it really cuts into my margins - I can't be bothered with £5 profit.

George is going to love me... NOT!

In the end I gave George the grand sum of..... £0.00

There's plenty of time as I now think that 60167 can be discounted a lot further, say £35? I need to be strong and not budge at less than a 60% discount, especially for "rehashable" sets. I also thought that Tesco are bound to have a huge last blowout before Xmas.

I did have a few tonics & lime last night with my mate, Gordon. Booze and LEGO don't mix! ;-)

My new checklist...

  • What is the LOWEST amount that this set has sold for on eBay recently? (It HAS to be priced to go out of the door as to not waste a 36p listing fee). I price to sell, not to waste time and clog up eBay with ridiculously priced items that will NEVER sell. I don't do "Unsold Item" lists.
  • Smaller set - Will it fit within the free boxes I have and will that package be under 2KG and 45x35x16cm for Royal Mail 2nd class?
  • Larger set - Will it fit within the free boxes I have and will that package be under 5KG and 60x50x50cm for Collect Plus?
  • Huge set - Size doesn't matter (as she said to him) as anything of value is self delivered or collected for cash.
  • If I'm stuck with a set, is it worthy of addition to my collection or as a gift later on?
  • Do I accept that there could be a small loss involved or a VERY long time in storage? (as in the case of Tower Bridge and VW T1)

I thought you were out of this game?

I gave it a rest for most of 2017 to focus on another business. I don't like to look a gift horse in the mouth and I'm always on the look out for an instant flip. The only sets I'll hold at this time are 21309 and 21312 as they're simply the best of their kind ever made IMHO. I did say before... "Never say never" ;-)

Don't question Tabbys method of investing: 1f603.png

A.) Lego sucks, minimum wage etc.

B.) All in - MOQ 99+ and instant flip

As long as he is earning money, all is fine ;)

I may well have unorthodox methods and constantly changing strategy, but it all pays me well and I'm more than happy right now. The primary reasons for me getting back into "The Game" is that my main business interest is facing a long delay so I do have some extra time and funds so I may as well get on with it, right?

A.) Most LEGO does suck and we alos know that there's lot of turkeys to avoid, even at 50% off.

B.) If the right set(s) come along that have the potential or buy-in to set the World on fire, then why not go 99x or all in?
