Hmm, "definitely" is a strong word, use it carefully!

And not everything is black and white (e.g. EU and USA).

What is not definite is if their will be anything worth buying actually on sale.

I only use "definitely" when I'm certain.  

And we're also here in the European Lego deals thread. I know things are done differently for the USA.  

Oh, and by the way, Yoda makes some statements that are in absolutes as well. Are you saying Yoda is secretly in league with the Dark Side?

True. I'm expecting the 75058 MTT getting a discount. And possibly the 70413 Brick Bounty as well. Lego City Arctic camp stuff is eligible for a discount, I think. And left over Guardians of the Galaxy sets. Old Batman sets (not related to Justice League series) may also get a discount. Oh, and don't forget about Chima sets that Lego wants to get rid off now Nexo Knights is officially released.

I wasn't aware of the Portuguese price, but I do know that since the moment this set was announced there was the 50 euro price difference between Germany and the Netherlands. 

Seems France is the new whipping boy for 2016.

Why 6.1.? On sales web page in European SAH is a notice that more items will be on 2.January...but if I look on sales in USA, if they repeat the same items and discounts, there is nothing interesting - just 20% and standard, non exclusive sets, which were better to buy with Xmas bonus sets (the value of gingerbread was more than 20% if you take set under 100e).
