If those are the actual figs, they're about as bad as I was hoping they wouldn't be I have been hoping for monsters that go along with the MF theme, not this childish rubbish. Why would you make toys so childish!?!

Here is a picture of the suspected series 14 line from Hoth Bricks.

A whole lot of zombies there and apparently Josie from The Pussycats too. Well, so many wanted a zombie series and now we (kind of) got one and still complain (no surprise). Anyway I like the new pigtails piece on the zombie cheerleader and the Elvira, mistress of the dark, minifigure is a must for me. Regardless of the figures as a whole, those zombie heads will go like crazy.... or should I say "hotcakes"?

Here are a couple of thoughts. Looking at how themed this series is, I wonder if LEGO will truly make it a side series similar to The LEGO Movie, Team GB, or The Simpsons meaning this will not be Series 14 but instead something titled like "Monsters" or "Trick or Treat" leaving the real Series 14 for next year. Second, does anyone else see classy classic Catwoman, Julie Newmar, from the 1960s Batman with that hairpiece on the catgirl? Va va voom. If there is even the remote chance of seeing vintage corny Batman in LEGO form, I could just die! :hyper:

If these are the figs then LEGO misses a huge opportunity. So many other interesting concepts for monsters.

I hate to say it, but I personally don't like them. I'll bet the kids will love them though... and it is a kids toy after all.

 

We'll collect them, we have to .. it's now an obsession to get 16 with no duplicates each time for me. I usually get 8-10 in the first round, then go back and get the rest but I always save 1-2 to give them to the kids in three rounds. I missed on Series 13 though with my first batch - I ended up with two Paleontologists. Really don't know what I thought the second one was, it's an easy smoosher. Oops.

Did you see the image of the Series 14 box put out today? One part of the cutout/perforation in the box (right side) matches the super big head of that mad scientist figure.
