So, I'm thinking of getting some type of a new pet. I've been looking at various reptiles/amphibians such as tortoises, frogs, and the like. Anyone own anything that they can recommend?

http://www.aol.com/article/2015/08/15/disney-announces-star-wars-theme-parks/21223213/ Disney announces 'Star Wars' theme parks "The Star Wars universe is ready to invade ours. Disney chairman Bob Iger announced the creation of two Star Wars theme parks. The 14-acre parks will feature humanoids, aliens and droids. He called it the company's "largest single themed land expansion ever." "Everything we create will be part of our storytelling," said Iger, who added every store in these parks would be operated by local inhabitants -; in other words, actors in character as aliens or droids. "Nothing in the land will be out of character or stray from the mythology." Iger said g…

They`re gone ladies and gentlemen! Going the way of Target, apparently Red brand colours are not in anymore. http://www.cbc.ca/news/business/future-shop-stores-closed-across-canada-some-to-rebrand-as-best-buy-1.3013534 All kidding aside, this is pretty sad to say the least. They used to be Canada`s largest electronics brand, crazy amounts of money. They were absolutely huge for a strictly Canadian company, then BestBuy bought them way back and they still did really. Well, not anymore. It`s a shame, I`m glad BestBuy is sticking around for the foreseeable future, but to see yet another large retailer heading out is discomforting on many levels. 1,500 jobs cut t…

I....love....COOKING! ....But I hate the cleanup. I used to cook so much with my mother growing up until around middle school I think where the desire just waned. I have concocted the odd dish over the years but nothing that intensive really outside a random burrito or pizza (or random leftovers). Anyway, since last year about when I got back into some actual fitness and eating better overall, I started cooking again and rekindled a sort of passion forgotten to time. Granted the meals thus far have been straightforward with nigh a handful of ingredients. Still, I am becoming more comfortable in mixing, experimenting, substituting, and ultimately eating signifi…

I have been on numerous LEGO related sites lately just browsing and all I see from members in the forums is complaining. Complaints from everything from prices of LEGO sets to arguments of why someone likes a set. I struggle to find how this is productive in a forum setting. I am soooo glad that this site is not that way. It is awesome that the members here can voice their opinion without being ridiculed. Thanks to all the members here for always being helpful and courteous. Other sites should use this one as a "role model" lol

First time trying to use the heat this year (electronic-ignition furnace), and it just isn't firing up. It goes through the 3 attempts and then switches off. The igniter lights up, but no flame whatsoever (and yes, the gas is switched on).

A friend of mine is thinking about offering his exceptional cognitive abilities (= member of Mensa = higher IQ than 98 % of the population) on a "pay-per-advice" basis to anyone having a problem/question he or she just cannot make a decision or is clueless about. 1) What would you ask someone like him/her? 2) What would you be willing to pay for a single advice? 3) Do "services" like this already exist (not counting fortunetellers or suicide hotlines) thx

Hi English native speaker, I'm looking for a profound linguistic assessment and hope somebody can help me.' Is the following sentence - about a FICTIONAL "sale" offer (meaning it doesn't need to make REAL sense) - properly formulated and clear in its meaning? "Bring a bike - get a car!" The sentence is supposed to express that customers can come to the shop, hand in a bicycle and in return they get a car back (that they can drive away with). Is the above sentence OK or should something be changed? Thank you very much for your comments!

Have you checked out some of the buying benefits of your credit card? Chances are you have. However, you may have missed some features that can prove to be incredibly useful to a Birckpicker. A growing number of cards have a price-lock feature. It will allow you to essentially get reimbursed the difference if the price comes down on something you bought up to 90 days from purchase (or your cards time limit). I wish I had known about this sooner as I would have taken advantage of it when the SC from Amazon dropped below what I paid for it. Another helpful feature is the extended return period. This allows you to get reimbursed for an item even after the initial return pe…
