I do all the holiday shopping in my house for my 4 kids, my husband, and even myself. Each year, around September, I start planning and deal hunting and buying. The past few years, I have managed to "finish" by early November, but then tack on a bunch of must-have family gifts. This year is a new record. I decided I wanted to buy Lego Dimensions, and then it all went downhill. I started out trying to get about $200 together to buy the game, and ended up convincing myself that we needed a PS4 too. Here's what I bought: PS4 500 w/ Star Wars Battlefront (std) and Guitar Hero (single guitar) - $340 Extra controller $40 Lego Dimensions Starter $50 LD Level …

I know it's not lego related, but who do you think will win the game today? On a Lego related note, do you think TLC should make a sports theme like football or baseball? TLC already made the basketball theme.

Just wondering if there are any big Android users out there that have used this new Nexus 7 tablet and if it's any good. Two reasons. It looks like it has some decent features for a good price, especially the 8GB version. The other is I wonder if it is something people are going to buy and use as I continue to build the mobile/tablet app for BrickPicker.

Chase finally coughed it up. Most of the article is fluff that I skimmed but the actual answer is inside. http://www.vox.com/2014/8/27/6006139/did-tony-die-at-the-end-of-the-sopranos Edit: OK kinda of but not really, according to the follow up article. Sorry.

It's not just Lego I take to the extreme, I am also an avid fan of Christmas lights, and so I thought I'd share my Christmas light display with all of you: Anyone else taking it to the extreme with Christmas decorating? Thanks, Jim

Hi English native speaker, I'm looking for a profound linguistic assessment and hope somebody can help me.' Is the following sentence - about a FICTIONAL "sale" offer (meaning it doesn't need to make REAL sense) - properly formulated and clear in its meaning? "Bring a bike - get a car!" The sentence is supposed to express that customers can come to the shop, hand in a bicycle and in return they get a car back (that they can drive away with). Is the above sentence OK or should something be changed? Thank you very much for your comments!

Has anyone looked at the question from the Singapore Math Quiz? I figure that if people can debate the merits of VIP points, they can surely solve such an innocent question.

Did anybody else get an invite to the early screenings of the Lego Batman Movie on Saturday, Feb. 4th? Lego VIP gave me up to four seats to a screening at 10:30AM on Saturday. Pretty cool, going to take my buddy and his son.

What are your thoughts about this fighting game that have DC characters duking it out. The Injustice: Gods Among Us Roster https://www.gameinformer.com/b/features/archive/2013/01/25/the-injustice-gods-among-us-roster.aspx Injustice: Gods Among Us - Announcement Trailer Since its not a LEGO game, I can't say if it will affect the price of the Super Hero theme.

It was my birthday on the 15th, and I have a fun little birthday story I thought other Lego addicts might enjoy. A present from my wife, a stylish new hat. A gift from my daughter. Can you guess what they are? Yes, they are felted Lego blocks. Then a card from my son. Signed by my whole family. How sad. But luckily I ordered something for myself from eBay. I didn't open the shipping box until my birthday and found an unexpected birthday surprise. The seller threw it in for free. 5 star service. An amazing day all around,

They`re gone ladies and gentlemen! Going the way of Target, apparently Red brand colours are not in anymore. http://www.cbc.ca/news/business/future-shop-stores-closed-across-canada-some-to-rebrand-as-best-buy-1.3013534 All kidding aside, this is pretty sad to say the least. They used to be Canada`s largest electronics brand, crazy amounts of money. They were absolutely huge for a strictly Canadian company, then BestBuy bought them way back and they still did really. Well, not anymore. It`s a shame, I`m glad BestBuy is sticking around for the foreseeable future, but to see yet another large retailer heading out is discomforting on many levels. 1,500 jobs cut t…

So, since starting a little modest investing in Lego, it's been hard to escape the Star Wars theme. However, I've never really been into Sci-Fi so have never ever sat down to watch any of the films/movies properly. I now feel that to understand the sets better (and hopefully for some viewing pleasure) I need to get a better understanding of the characters and ships etc, which means watching the films. I did a little search on-line and it has been suggested to watch the episodes in this order: IV, V, I, II, III, VI. However, others have said you could just miss out I, or all of I, II, and III. Just wondering what your advice would be. If I'm not missing o…

Ever bought only one of something, or decided not to buy something at all and regretted it dearly after finding that it could have made you money? I bought one of the Amazon Exclusive 4 pack of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Glow in the Dark Funko Pop Vinyls for $35 back when they were for sale. Wish I would have known their valuation for now because not you have to spend at least $100+ to get them off ebay. Could have bought 10 for $350 and made over $3,000 on them. Regrets.
