A tad late with this annual monthly building theme topic (considering MaKtoberfest already is in effect) so I apologize for that but anyway let's go with the flow and see what this year has brought. There is a ton of designs to search for and through as usual therefore this thread will take a while to fill up. In the meantime here are some fantastic space cruisers with more to come. I am going to put together a winter village this year and need some white baseplates. Any recommendations on a source for white baseplates? Any other suggestions for Winter Village layouts?

Hey guys, I have just finished another build, which I would love to share with you all. I call this 'Jabba's PIzza Hutt' Jabba's Pizza Hutt by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr For a change this is not related to any scene or landscape from the Star Wars saga but rather a bit of fun I was having with my newly acquired Jabba figure. I had quite a bit of fun with this, like the Emperor's order being number 66... Jabba's Pizza Hutt by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr Jabba's tail being too big for his own restaurant! Hi guys, here is a little MOC I put together. IMG_20161014_164521 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr I had a few spare bits lying around and had recently acquired a Tauntaun so I thought I would put it to good use! DSC_1899 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr DSC_1942 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr I wanted to make this as movie accurate as possible so that is why the colour palette on this build is more grey, to reflect the night time setting of the scene, rather than the traditional tan colours of Jabba's Palace. I should point out the gungan head isnt movie accurate but I put that in for a bit of fun! IMG_20161014_192613 by dimitrinicomanis, on F…

Hi there guys, I havent posted in a while but thats not because I haven't been building, I have just been away with work! I have a couple of builds to share with you starting with this... It is my recreation of the final scenes from Revenge of the Sith. As with all my MOCs I have kept this on a 16x16 base. Here it is in comparison to the actual scene from the film... Quite a fun build this, especially making the Death Star look like it is in the early stages of construction. And I loved the fact I could use the new style Vader and Tarkin (From A-Wing vs Tie Advanced set) as I think they are two really good looking mini figs…

This is one of my simple but fun projects that I have my wife for Valentine's Day. Our last name starts with a B. All lego and it has two 5x5 (actually are 5.5x5.5) plaques from Shutterfly in it. Yes I superglued it (almost a sin I know). Found the lego minifigure bodies to match what we were wearing and our son. Then had heads 3D printed.

I want to build my 75094 but want to display it on a stand. I've seen a few perspex ones but to be honest I'd rather it was a Lego made effort. Would anyone on here be willing to share their instructions with me? Thanks

Hi guys, I have just finished another Star Wars MOC. This time I wanted to mess around with the idea of forced perspective and decided to recreate one of my favourite shots from Return of the Jedi. As with all my micro mocs I wanted to stick to the 16x16 base, which in this instance was quite a challenge but eventually I managed to find a way to fit everything I wanted into the scene. The colour palette choice for Jabba's Palace was partly based on the official lego sets of "Jabba's Palace' and 'Rancor Pit' especially the dark grey base for the Palace to sit atop but I decided to go with darker colours for the Palace itself similar to the…

I am a LEGO addict for many years now. I am female, in my late 50's and love to build. My hubby bought me the Imperial Star Destroyer UCS for our 25th anniversary about 13 years ago. Our first adult date was the first Star Wars movie (We have known each other since we were babies). I was so excited. I like the BrickPicker site and am slowly getting my Brickfolio logged in. I do have a question though. I have an extensive collection of LEGO Creator Town sets and the numbers do not come up when I want to add them to my Brickfolio. Is there a problem in the system or just that they aren't worth much? I became a collector of these town sets back in March and have built them …

Hi guys, so I have finished another micro moc landscape. This time its of one of my favourite scenes from The Force Awakens. The crashed Star Destroyer is such an iconic image from not only the film but the trailers as well that I just had to make it in lego form. I am really pleased with Rey's speeder. I didn't think I would be able to build it at this scale but actually I think this is a pretty good representation. At only eight pieces I dont think its going to get any smaller either! (I did have one version with one less stud at the back but it looked too blocky) The Star Destoryer is a slight variation on a polybag release with a few twe…

Why do LEGO bricks turn yellow? LEGO bricks are made of Acrylonitril-butadieen-styreen or for short ABS. ABS is very cheap and very sturdy. It is however flammable (they add product against it) and also very sensible to UV-light, oxygen, moist and heat. If LEGO bricks are exposed too much to these elements, they will turn yellow. So best to keep your used LEGO dry, dark, temperate and preferably wrapped in a plastic bag to keep out oxygen. But there is good news for those precious sets that were not kept in that manner. I recently bought a second had 6339-1 Launch Pad from a woman on a second hand site in "GOOD" condition, but turned out it was completely yellowed. I…

Hi, With the recent announcement of set "71040-1: The Disney Castle", the list of largest Lego sets has once again changed. In fact, this list changed 6 times so far in 2016. Here is the current Top 45 list sorted by largest. I also include the set # and year each debuted. I will continue to update this list and ultimately create a blog for it. note: Educational, Samsonite and bundle lots are excluded. A collection of stories about a world supported by four elephants standing atop a giant turtle filled with all sorts of characters including Death (Not death with a little "d" but Death with a big "D" as in the person.) were written with such wit and humor, there is no doubt as to why these tales amuse and inspire so many. Though the storyline may progress no further and the author sorely missed, Sir Terry Pratchett's fable will never be forgotten. Hi guys, I have just finished another micro landscape in time for the Battlefront Death Star DLC. I wanted to do something different from some of the other trench run mocs I have seen and so I chose the moment Han comes to Luke's rescue and shoots down one of the tie fighters. I really like the drama in this scene and Im really happy with the way it has turned out. The inspiration for Luke's Xwing and Vader's tie came from a post by 'BEAVeR' (http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=84301) however I really wanted to get R2 in this scene and so instead of a 1x2 white tile for the nose I went for a 1x1 and added a 1x1 blue stud to represent R2 behind the cockpit. Thanks…

Anyone purchased the pdf/instructions to bricklink Chilli's? And how much did it all cost to complete? My wife loves the design and would like to add it to our small collection. Do we have any builders here that sold their work/custom designs?

Hey gang, Been reading the website for about a year now, but this is my first post. Has anyone tried buying all the pieces for a Green Grocer Modular 10185 or other ModularBuilding through the missing pieces feature of the Lego LEGO Shop at Home website? A good friend of mine has used LEGO Shop at Home to buy all his pieces to build over 20 Custom Modular builidings, but he's never tried to to buy all the pieces for an entire production set. I looked today, and you can buy all but 12 of the pieces for the Green Grocer set from LEGO Shop at Home. I figure I'd use brick link to pick up the remaining few pieces. This set would be for my own personal collection, n…

Hi there guys, so I have finished another micro lansdcape moc. This time its the forest moon of Endor. I have tried to keep everything on a 16x16 base in keeping with my other micro landscapes. Does it look too packed though?I have been inspired by a few mocs already out there (2muchcaffine and sarah von noppenquader) but added a few elements of my own.Lego Micro Moc - Endor byI have built my shuttle in 'flight mode' as if it is taking off from the platform (with Luke and Vader on board!) However the wings do fold down and it fits onto the platform if I wanted to. I just prefer the composition of the piece with the shuttle higher up.This was actually a lot trickier than I…

Hey guys, so I really enjoyed making my first micro landscape MOC (Jakku) so I decided to make a really iconic scene from the original trilogy and decided to make a Battle of Hoth MOC on a 16x16 plate.I tried to get all the iconic parts from the film into the MOC. Inspiration from a few various sources and a few twists of my own!The one thing I am aware of is that the snow speeder is completely out of proportion with the scene however I tried to make smaller models and they just didnt look right. Therefore I have tried to give the illusion that the speeder is flying high up above the battle.Im really pleased with how this MOC has turned out and would be great to hear any …
